I reserved a Delux double room (1 bed)
Positives:
-Clean
-Comtempory Decor to a good standard
-Roof Garden with some night views
-Good location for Koh San Road (5min walk)
-Very good breakfast.
Negatives:
-Very compact, roughly 10ft by 10ft and a small shower room (no bath). I am 6'2" my partner is 5'9" niether of us could sit on the toilet straight due to a wall in the way
-Customer Service. My partner asked how much breakfast would be without my knowledge. I had previously been told by email there was a special for 100bht. They told her 140bht each. Only when I asked about the descrepancy did they say 'Oh thats for the vouchers' which they sold me there and then. There are other instances of disinterested staff but I wont bore you with the details.
Synopsis
If you are stopping off for 1 or 2 days in Bangkok then this is well priced and well located. My main bug bear is the size of the room. If you spending anymore than 2 days here it would drive you mad since there is nowhere to put anything.

We stayed there for 2 nights in March 2010 as it was very close to Koh San road. My feeling was that the hotel is grossly overpriced. There are loads of similar hotels in the same area which are close to 700-800 Thai Bahts.
For my stay I paid 1200 for a room that was facing the street and obviously very noisy at night.
If you do end up staying here (despite the feedback), make doubly sure that your room does not face the main road (Samsen Road)!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights before moving onto Koh Chang. We enjoyed it so much that we booked in again for another night when we got back!
The staff here are amazing and so funny. The hot tub on the roof is perfect for chilling out in after a day of exploring many of the nearby places of interest.
The food served here is so tasty and reasonably priced. You have the choice of sitting in the bar/restaurant area or having your meal sent to your room. Either way the food is served to you really speedily and with the trademark Diamond House cheeky grin!
Loved staying at this place and plan on staying there again the next time I'm in Thailand.

fantastic hotel for an overnight stay or few nights, good location but not right in koh san so have a bit of quiet. very helpful staff and generally a decent hotel. would definitely stay here again.

This is my 5th or 6th stay...
This is my 5th or 6th stay at Diamond House. In my opinion it is the best place to stay near ko sahn road. Its a 5-10 minute walk but its a great walk through alot of thai food markets. Its great value for money and after staying in alot of other places on ko sahn and close to it, I cant find anything that compares for the price. The staff are very helpful (english is limited but its thailand and that will happen everywhere) and will do almost anything they can to help you with your stay. I can highly recommend Diamond House to any western visitors looking for a place to stay near ko sahn that isnt too touristy or packed with farang.

Great location within walking distance of Kho San Road. Lovely, helpful staff. Rooftop views with hot tub.
Not much privacy with the bathroom - door is blue, semi opaque with a gap above the door and right beside the bed. Have to walk up stairs to get to the lift.
Would recommend this to everyone.

We had a nice stay in Diamond House. Nice rooms, pool, internet and good services. The room and the bathroom was very clean! We recommend this hotel to everyone that want to be near Khao san road, but in a quiet place.
