Standard of service dropped...
Second time staying, may not stay here again because felt the standard of customer service had dropped pretty much.
The good:
• Location good - near Pratunam Mkt, Platinum Mall, Airport Rail Link Station
• Discount for Baiyoke Sky Buffet and usage of Baiyoke Sky Swimming Pool
The bad:
• Rude staff (rang our room in VERY early morning twice and started blabbering with stern tone (in english, but hardly understood what he was saying). Asked him to repeat, he hang up the call on me. Apparently, he got the wrong room, he was looking for someone late for the morning tour). Don't remember him apologized for the mistake.
• Staff patronized my quiries (Left our luggages at concierge at check out to go for last minute shopping, asked for string/rope to tie a box, staff said he will do it, asked if there's shuttle to the Airport Rail Station (we were shuttled last trip), he said yes. When we returned to collect our luggages, our box was not tied, staff requested us to walk to the station instead.)
• Lift stops at in between floors to room (with stairs), not so convenient if with heavy luggage (witnessed a lady tumbling down the stairs with her luggage, at the lobby)
• Room with mouldy smell when air conditioner is off
