The hotel is situated about 15-20 minutes drive away from the city centre, and travel can be somewhat inconvenient. It is also located inside a small lane off the main road, which is rather dark at night and can be somewhat dangerous. However, the hotel is located near the foot of the doi suthep mountains, which is also near Chiangmai University.
Other than customer service which was excellent, the other aspects of the hotel was extremely unsatisfactory. Considering that I actually booked the more expensive deluxe option over the standard rooms, the size of the rooms were still disappointing. The rooms were old and the beds were hard, and the bathroom shower was even ejecting brown smelly sewage water at one point. No safe deposit boxes were available inside the rooms. Breakfast served had little variety and lacked taste.
Credit must however go to the hotel staff who were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Renting a motorbike was fairly easy, right from the hotel counter, and shuttle services were also provided to and from the local night bazaar, nightly. Airport transfers were easy and hassle-free. Late check-outs were given with much ease.
Even though the hotel's prices are very competitive and economical, the value-for-money factor seems to be lacking. However, if one is looking simply for a roof over his/her head, this would suffice.

The room I got, was above the airco machine off the restaurant. I Like to change, I got an other room, bud above the ventilation system of the kitchen. I ask 4 day, bud no way. Even the reception was realy unfriendly. I never meet in Thailand.

Shuutle bus for Night Bazzar is convenient but only one bus at 8pm...

Hard to get taxi at night if you want to go to town, you got to walk out to the main road to get a taxi or tuk-tuk ( 2 mins walk to the main road ).
A very very quiet place at night.
Free shuttle bus provided by the hotel at 6pm and 8pm to the night market. ( please book advance at the reception as it is alwayz fully booked ).
Rooms ok, with balcony, good view , facing the hills.
Breakfast from 5.30 to 9.30am only.
I would prefer to get at hotel near Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Complex, the largest shopping complex in Chiang Mai or near the Largest Night Market which in Central Down Town.
Taxis or Tuk2 cost BHT100 to get the night market and
BHT800 to Kad Suan Kaew Shopping Complex. (bargain first)

Services not so good. Upon arrival at the lobby, no offer to pick up luggages. Have to ask for bell boy several times. Reception workers not smiling. Most cannot speak English. Lift lobby smells of stale massage oil. Same song played over the p.a. system day and night over and over again. The pool and garden is not spared as speakers were installed there, too. A pity for the garden and pool area is a lovely place to relax. Charge 50 Baht for extra pillow or towel and 130 baht for child's breakfast which other hotels I stayed provided for free.
