I found the hotel is very becautiful. and is near tha pha gate. The staff are considerate and polite. They know every costermer. When you come back to hotel, they can give you the exactly room key,no need to ask you.
If i have the chance to go to chiangmai, i must live tamarind village again. It's very worthful to book the room from asiarooms.
A very charming hotel in the middle of the ChiangMai old city. Although my wife and I missed it, I heard that there is a very nice Sunday Bazaar right outside the hotel in the main street. Very convenient location as you can grab a Tuk-tuk right outside the hotel to go to anywhere in the city.
The hotel room is nicely decorated in a rustic kind of style - but kind of dimly lighted.
There was renovation works going on during our stay but it only starts at 9am - and it is kind of loud. It didn't bother us as we were out of the hotel most of the day and returned when they were done. The hotel does not provides a lot of facilities other than the swimming pool and the restaurant.
The hotel provides quite reasonable priced daily excursions. And the hotel staff are very helpful in arranging them.
The Tamarind was a beautiful hotel that provided excellent service and exquisite surroundings. All staff from the concierge to the gardeners were all very polite, helpful and friendly.
I celebrated my birthday whilst there and got such a lovely surprise on the day at breakfast when the staff came to me with a birthday cake and sang happy birthday.
The location was ideal for easy walking access to the Night Bazaar and the day market. Tuk Tuks were plentiful as were red cabs.
The Walking Street market on Sunday evening was right outside the Hotel and took us "4 hours" to walk around - it was brilliant.
A fantastic hotel which really is an oasis within the city. Excellent restaurant, pool and location. If you've had enough of the 'corporate' friendliness that seem to dog most of the larger chain hotels then the genuine, sincere friendliness of the Tamarind staff is like a breath of fresh air.My only regret is that I didn't stay longer!
Hotel is in good location near walking street. The room is smaller but have beautiful architecture. The staff is very friendly and smile all time. The area of hotel is quite, if you want to relax and enjoy ,this hotel for you.
Very good location, within walking distance to many attraction.
Only problem is the aircondition which is generate loud noise every 15 minutes, did not feedback to the staff as it doesn't bother us.
We have stayed here once 4 years ago, and it's good service and room, so we decided to stay here this time again. We booked a superior room, but the manager changed our room to delux room no extra charge. It's nice and wonderful room. We had a good time at here.
This was a wonderfull place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights and everything was superb: the room tastefully decorated in Thai style and well equipped, the location of the hotel, the service, the food. If we ever return to Chiang Mai, we will stay here.
