I stayed in Holiday Inn, Chiangmai for 4 nights on Jul 09. Overall, the hotel gives me a satisfactory service including the courteous staff, clean & tidy room environment, and fruitful choices of breakfast buffet. The room rate is very reasonably charged, around HKD260/night. Once we booked fr. the asiaroom, I mentioned I'm a honey moon couple. When I arrived at the hotel to check-in, I was so surprised that the front staff sent me a beautiful bunch of rose basket. However, I was quite disappointed of the small size of the swimming pool in spite of the so-called 5-star hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle van to night bazaar at 8:00pm, and return back at 10:00pm daily. If we takes a tuk tuk to the night bazaar, it costs around 60-80 baht & to the old city costs 120 baht. You can bargin the price.
Tips: if you left the hotel & go to the airport, don't use the hotel bus service, it costs 120baht (per person), it's better to arrange a taxi by yourself, which costs 120 baht. Overall, this hotel gives me a good & memorable experience!

The stay in Holiday Inn - Chiang Mai goes down as one of the best Hotel experiences that I've had.
We (Me, wife & 2 kids - 4 & 2 yrs old) went to Chiang Mai in 1st week of July & the rate of $35 a night for a Superior Room with King Size bed was a steal. The price included all taxes as well as breakfast for the entire family.
The size of the room was really big. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise, lotsa space, bath tub & a shower room.
Lotsa choice available in breakfast with chefs available at egg counters to cater to your choice.
The hotel is clean as a whistle. Gym, Pool, Sauna, etc etc.
To top it all, a cake from the chef one evening made it a trully memorable experience. Will surely stay again whenever I visit Chiang Mai.

The hotel is a little outside the main town of Chiang Mai. Upgrade of room offered for little cost. No free shuttle service into town so transport is by Tuk Tuk, but agree your price before getting in. 80 to 100 Baht maximum depending on destination. Tours can be booked from the hotel at little, or no extra premium.
Hotel transport to the airport from the hotel cost 200baht per pax.

Chiang Mai Holiday Inn was fantastic. We booked a river facing room and it was spacious and comfortable but the bed was too firm/hard for us. Great breakfasts and so much to choose from. Staff very nice and helpful and spoke very good English. Lovely pool and plenty of sun lounges. Food quite well priced and we will stay again. Great experience and Chiang Mai a relaxing and interesting part of our holiday.
