We live in Bangkok and we often go to Hua Hin for the weekend. So this time we stayed at the new Rest Detail in Hua Hin. It's a lovely place to spend a few days away from the city. Just a few things you need to be aware of. The location (Hua Hin Soi 19) is a little too far from town to walk. There is a shuttle bus but this will cost you. Besides the very nice pool, there aren't any activities that you can do. We would have loved to play a little table tennis or badminton. There is also no gym. The beach is nice for Hua Hin standards but of course don't expect a tropical beach with turquoise waters and lots of coconut trees. But walks on the beach are very nice. The rooms are lovely although ours overlooked a parking lot.

Very nice service and hotel. We have a bit problem from the guest who stay upstairs that made noise very much. Regarding breakfast, all your staffs are so nice except they made us uncomfortable with their eyes. By the way, we will come back to stay with you again. Thanks anyway for all your staffs.

Location is good, near the central area, face the sea with nice swimming pool, staff are friendly and helpful, with free wifi within the hotel area, so I can use the mobile device to access www easily.

The hotel was lovely, beautiful views and nice open layout. The rooms were spacious and large. The staff were extremely helpful. We had a fabulous and relaxing stay here.
The hotel is a little way out of town, which can be annoying if you don't want to pay the exorbitant meal prices at the hotel restaurant. There is a shuttle bus which runs into town where you can shop or grab a cheaper meal, but this does cost you (albeit, a small amount). It would be nice if this was a free shuttle.
The only drawback was the cost of the restaurant, although this is to be expected of a resort-style hotel like this. However, it was still a little disappointing, especially when the prices are quoted excluding taxes (annoying).

If you are Thai please call asiarooms...
If you are Thai please call asiarooms for residence rate because it is not the same as the one publish on the web. In my case, I booked one room for myself and my husband who is American citizen, so we got the web publishing rate. I try to book another room for my cousins who Thai. I called asiarooms and they said the rate will be different and it is almost twice the rate I got for myself. I asked them why and they said because my cousin is residence so they have to pay residence rate... For the first time in my life I heard such a thing... local pay more than foreigner. Anyway, the hotel itself is very nice. Great amenities. Love the breakfast. I will go back again but not with the residence rate.

The Rest Detail is a wonderful hotel, with beautiful clean and fesh rooms reflecting an attention to detail that made the stay so comfortable. The staff were helpful, always friendly and took the time to remember our likes and dislikes. The food was good and plentiful and catered to most tastes. Alcohol was expensive, but I think that is generally the case in hotels in Thailand. I think that the hotel would benefit from an information desk with details of activities and local attractions, the staff were helful when an enquiry was made but as first time visitors to Hua Hin we didn't always know what questions to ask!

unfortunalety there is hardly a sandy beach and the hotel is located far more then 2 km from the citycenter, so you are dependable of the shuttlebus of he hotel that only is in business until 9 pm.

The Rest Detail Hotel is located a 10 min drive out Hua Hin, but there are regular shuttle busses from the hotel & taxis are available. The beach directly in front of the hotel is not the best, the better beaches are to the South of the resort. The spa treatments are excellent and the product range they use is fantastic, this range is also used in the hotel rooms. The room was great - only complaint, no iron available at the hotel, you have to send any laundry including ironing out. Food at the hotel restaurant was good & the breakfast was OK. Staff were great & seemed to be particularly attentive over families with children. Lovely big swimming pool - but no jacuzzi. All in all a very relaxing, chilled hotel
