If you want to get some rest...
If you want to get some rest in the beauty of nature, this is the perfect place. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. If you stay in the river wing or rafts, plan to do some walking up/down stairs. It is not near anything, so eating at the hotel is really the only option. Yes, a little more expensive than on the street, but the food is good and service excellent. One of the best values you will find.

Very good resort. I have stayed here before and will stay again. A little more maintenance is required as the facility looks a little more "down" than last stay but still quite acceptable.
Requires iron in room to freshen up clothes after packing.

Beautiful riverside setting, lovely new raftel. Charming staff and good value with internet booking. So isolated, though, that there's no chance of seeing nearby Thailand, or choosing to eat out elsewhere. Ideal for couples or group bookings.

Stayed at this hotel during our 2day 1night adventure in the Kanchanaburi region. The hotel staff were very friendly. We had the river wing and definitely received the river wing as our room was on the top floor of the wing overlooking the gorgeous River Kwai. The room that we were given was clean but it didnt have a safe to store our valuables. However, we were only there for 1 night so it didnt affect us at all. Location was in a great place to enjoy all that Kanchanaburi can offer.
We started that day at 6am and were tired and hungry by the time we got to the hotel and we wanted to have the dinner buffet but were told it would not be ready by 7pm! So we gave it a skip and ordered a la carte. Pricey food at the hotel compared to other locations in Thailand.

It was the best stay in hole Thailand, it was a paradis for us, we only missed a walking pleace for de after noon.
We absolutely advice every one this hotel.

We stayed here for 2 nights in...
We stayed here for 2 nights in the Royal Wing and had a great time. This accommodation is 70kms out of Kanchantaburi so it is perfect for Elephant adventures (they have a resident elephant and are also close to the camp), going on a river raft, visiting the Tiger Temple (hire the resorts car & driver, it is definitely worth it) or experiencing Hellfire's pass (which all Aussies should). It is also perfect for relaxing as the pools are great - but that is it. You can easily fill in 2-3 days but there is little access to anything else - go to the bank before you arrive as there is no ATM and the closest is about 15kms back toward town (which you cannot get to without a car). Great for families and the kids (and some adults like us) will enjoy the water slide. Staff are very friendly and speak English well - terrific stay.

The hotel was in a very picturesque and peaceful location. It may have been peaceful because at the time we stayed it was almost empty (April). Our rooms, in the Mountain Wing, were in need of refurbishment and we had no views, but they were good value. The walls in the corridor were hideous - stones stuck onto mortar! The staff in the restaurant were generally helpful and polite with one exception - maybe she was having a bad day! The restaurant closed very early. The staff on the front desk were excellent - pleasant and very hepful. We did not think the activities available were relevant to the area and could not understand why they had quad bike rentals right in front of the entrance -tacky. We would be happy to stay at this hotel again if we were in the area - but in different rooms.
