A Beautiful Resort Indeed
The Chaiya Bungalow is beautiful, the cliff is amazing; surrounded by lush green, floor to ceiling windows and outdoor shower. VERY PRIVATE, QUIET & ROMANTIC.
However, its a bit small, the bed is not so comfy and the shower is very slow.
The staffs are very friendly & helpful. Helped my booking for tours and taxis. The resort is 10-15mins walk to Ao Nang Beach or you can just hire a tuk tuk for 20baht. It's very convenient as it is surrounded with local restaurants and bars along the street. 7Eleven, Super-marts, Starbucks, Subway, McDonald, Pharmacies is just a stone throw away.
Overall, it was worth paying for and would definitely stay again.

Nice experience
My wife and myself stayed there for 3 nights and we had totally different experience. Rooms were surrounded with green, even its dead hot on the street, you won't when you're inside your room.
Positive: Superb customer service from staff, breakfast arrangement at your room, feeling privacy, small but cozy room
Negative: beware of snails roaming around in your open bathroom, if you keep doors open insects will fly in and...... even after deep thinking I can't find anything else.
If you're a couple visiting for privacy/honeymoon/break from hectic mechanical life - you're in right place.

The Cliffs will not disappoint
Pefect place for the couple or family to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Ao Nong while only being a 15 minute walk to the beach. Great for the "free and easy" traveler to stay at a place that has all the creature comforts you need: wifi, pool with a view, breakfast included, great friendly staff...the manager was awesome...spoke great English and helped us out on all siteseeing we needed.. We loved The Cliff...its not a fully furnished 5-star Interconn/Grand Hyatt...but it shouldn't be...this is a quaint freindly and cozy boutique hotel. Don't forget to stop next door at the Boat Noodle Ao Nang restaurant for great affordable food and the best Thai Ice Coffee and Tea you will have.

We wanted to spend the last couple...
We wanted to spend the last couple nights in Krabi in luxury, and The Cliff seemed to be a good choice based on other reviews here. Service and environment was pretty good indeed. Perfect for couples. On the downside, the room was full of mosquitoes all day and night however they didn't really bite, but the mosquito net over the bed came in handy at night. The bungalow was a bit on the small side, and even though the two of us are quite skinny, we were always bumping into doors and objects in the room. From the room there was absolutely no view whatsoever, but on the plus side it was very quiet and secluded by lots of foliage. Breakfast served outside our room was HUGE. We felt guilty because we always left most of it uneaten. The small pool seemed nice, but we never used it as we were always busy all day on excursions. As far as value for money, we had spent less money and had a better overall experience at our previous hotel - Au Nang Villa. The Cliff was nice, but probably will not return as it just wasn't THAT special.

We were at The Cliff to celebrate...
We were at The Cliff to celebrate Valentine's Day! It was a wonderful stay for us. The environment is so peaceful. The moment we walked in, all the stress and worries were trashed out. We could stay here forever! Except that it will definitely burn a big hole in our pocket. Yup, the rate is overpriced looking at the size of the room (a bit too small) and the non-functional hot shower. Nonethelass, we love the greens, the japanese kois, and the view of those limestone cliffs from the hotel. It is calming and soothing just by looking at it. We like it so much so that The Cliff was put on www.chanelwhat2do.blogspot.com. Check out more photos from there. You'll love it!

The Cliff is an oasis! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was a touch small, but the bathroom was fantastic - full of green plants, great shower - has a real eco feel as it's sort of open air (but still v private). The best thing about the delicious breakfast was that guests are asked to choose from the menu the night before so that at their preferred time, it is served discreetly outside your own room on your own small porch.
Ao Nang has diappointingly turned into a holiday resort, complete with McDonalds and Subway. But you would never know at The Cliff because once inside it is a v peaceful place to relax and avoid the crowds on Ao Nang beach.

Hotel is great...highly recommended! Breakfast is awesome...served right outside your bungalow door every morning. The hotel is not right on the beach, but only a 20 baht tuk-tuk ride or a 5 minute walk away. Well worth it to be "secluded" a bit. Staff is the friendliest I have ever seen at a hotel.
