We initially had a double room at the side of the hotel, near to the street with a view onto the building next door. When I looked at the sheets on the bed they were stained (blood) and had many hairs on them which were various lengths and were all black in color. Neither myself or my husband have black hair and this is before we had used the bed. I reported this to the desk and was told that they would change my sheets tomorrow. The next day we asked to have our room changed and were pleasantly surprised when we were moved to a room that faced the street and had a much improved view. We never could get the safe in the room to work despite having someone come and fix it 3 times, so we just took our valuables with us when we went out. Disappointing place to stay.

Very worth it!
Our room is very affordable, spacious, clean and quite (good for relaxing). They will give 2 complimentary mineral waters everyday. The hotel is just close the center of Ao Nang and to the beach, only 10-15 minute slow walk. The staff are ok, though they can't communicate well but they are trying hard to explain everything and understand us. Breakfast is also ok, with fruits, milk, coffee, bread, pancakes eggs, ham/sausage with rice, no fish and its the same menu everyday (good if you will be staying for a week or less). The pool is clean and small but we were the only one using it, so I still find not bad. Overall we find our stay there as very worth it and will give it 5.2/6.0!

The best thing about this hotel is the location whereby u can easily walk to cafe, minimart, money changer and Ao Nang Beach. However, it was not as good as what I expected based on AsiaRooms reviews, especially about the cleanliness because I found stain on my bedsheet n pillowcase ! The water was untolerable dirty even with green moss while I took shower on the first night. But it was clean on the second night so I had no idea what went wrong.
U can forget about the swimming pool (very small), ignore the breakfast (limited choices), but u should try the massage in this hotel (worth ur money) !
So, basically u are paying the rate just for the convenient location. U should stay in other hotels available on AsiaRooms if u dont mind walking 10-15 minutes more to get to the beach !
By the way, it is very easy to take a bus (150 baht) from the airport to the hotel/Ao Nang Beach. The bus driver asked everybody where we were staying and sent us right to the doorstep ! Thanks so much because I saved so much compared to taking taxi (600 baht) !
Lastly, u should try to go island hopping eg 800 baht for one day trip to Phi Phi Islands. The beaches are much nicer than Ao Nang !

the Sunset Hotel is well situated for all amenities on offer at Auo Nang. Service is very friendly and all staff wear a smile, no problems when asking for assistance. The hotels restaurant is large and there are tables not undercover, but most are. There is a god selection of food available at reasonable prices compared to some eateries on the beach road. There is a computer available at 2 baht per minute and a small swimming pool adequate for a quick dip. If you need a larger pool then the sea is only minutes away.
To me this hotel is very good and well worth a visit, I just wish that there were more English channels available on the TV !!!

Location is perfect just 5 minutes walk to Ao Nang beach. Plus point of facilities of hotel is the water pressure of shower maybe it is due to low occupancy of rooms(Green or Low season). The Air-Conditioner is noisy though at Room 1101. Breakfast is through Ala Carte order, same offerings day in day out.The rooms were given a new coat of paint at the time of our visit.
Overall we are satisfied with this best little hotel in Krabi we will definitely stay over if we visit again.

It is a good hotel with beautiful sea view.The hotel is quiet central. You can get food easily. For family shopping ,you can go on tuk tuk or taxi to Krabi. Tuk tuk to krabi cost 50bht. Krabi Walking street stall only open in friday to sunday. Good to shopping there.
The staff is friendly but need on the work training. We stay 4 days in this hotel.The breakfast for 2 days is quiet satisfactory but on the 3 and 4 days the breakfast is poor. I can see only few occupants and most rooms empty.

This Hotel is situated close to the Pier in Aonang, where you can buy the tickets to other beaches. It is not for Budget travellers, but the price is reasonable. For the Backpackers: Visit Ao nang Sunset in the low season!! For the rest of Thailand travellers and Ao nang visiters: Ao Nang Sunset is a perfect place to stay!!

Breakfast selection was limited and on one occasion i found a human head hair in my Bacon, Scambled eggs and salad.
Rooms were nice although i though abit pricey for what you got.
