Worst Hotel Ever....
We arrived quite late and were notified by the front desk that they had not received our reserveration from asia rooms. So they charged us an inflated premium for a nights stay. We went up to our commenting on how the pictures on the website and the name were different to the actual reality of the hotel? Golden Tulip Erawan is actually the Suncity Pattaya...?
On entering our rooms we noticed cockroaches every where on the bed tables everywhere! We complained and were given the option of two other rooms. One with more roaches the second had someone else sleeping on the bed... We then insisted on our money back and were then offered an upgrade at our cost? We refused and after some too-ing and fro-ing we got a full refund. We were told to leave, we walked to another hotel and luckily got a booking at another hotel

Where is the Golden Tulip?
The hotel is well located if you want to be where all the "action" is. The room was large for a hotel room and was well appointed with plenty of sitting and lounging space. Breakfast was included, but it was never mentioned....... Anyway, I had three buffet breakfasts with no ticket or cash asked for. Internet was available for 50 baht per hour..... either in your room or on the lobby computers..... Make sure you bring the hotel address with you and not just the name..... because there is no "Golden Tulip" Hotel in Pattaya.. It's name is the Erawan.... and the words "Golden Tulip" are no where to be found. The online price is a "steal".... The walk-in price is double..... and yes, I would stay there again unless they changed the name to the "Golden Tulip".

No customer service found at the front desk. We were charged more than we were confirmed for, no one replied to our three email requests for aiport pick up.
I was almost charged for a dirty towel ($10 US) at time of check out. Be careful of being scammed to pay more than the agreed price, I think the employees pocket the extra money.The room was quiet,comfortable, and safe. The breakfast selection was good. Pancakes,eggs,sausage,fruit,cereal,salad,rice,
potatoes,coffee, tea,and juice. The hotel location is a little far from the beach road,jump on the back of the covered trucks,but don't ask how much, just pay the guy 10 baht per person when you get out.If you ask,he will charge you a lot. We learned this after paying too much a few times.

The lobby is quite new and very impressive but the moment you enter into the corrodor and room that impression vanishes. You are greeted by the old look and old rooms with false smell in corridor and rooms as they have already very old. The location is excellent. You can see the the seashore from your corridors balcony and is very near to walking street and near to lots of good restaurants. The breakfast was good though and the restaurant also looks new and elegant unlike the rooms. I beleive they are rennovating the entire building floorwise. If they renovate I do not have any problem in staying over there in future. You should have mentioned about the age of the hotel and room status instead of misleading the traveller by showing impressive photographs. There are lots of new hotels in the same budget available in same viccinity.

Nice and polite hotel staff. Perfect for singles who wants to explore the famous walking street. Just a five minutes walk and you are right in the middle of walking street. Definitely guest friendly. My friends and i were also given 200 baht voucher each for our 2 nights stay which can be used at the hotel's restaurant.

My stay at Erawan was good i did not have problems, staff very good nature and do reconize there guest, it was probably to remember me due to i was the only minority there and i stand out;that they could not forget my face. the Hotel was remodeling there lobby areas, i thought the new look was a great positive to the hotel and will bring alot of business conventions there. the room was a good size; except the pillows were to hard, which i required 2 of them so i not have a cramp in my neck when i wake up. 2nd i mention to the staff that water was leaking on the side of the wall in the bathroom from an one floor up. other than that for the price it was still a good deal and i would go back.
