The Residence Garden is ideally located in Pattaya for the price. In fact, I consider the hotel/apartment excellent value. The rooms are spacious and relatively quiet. The pool is good and well located in terms of getting sun. Finally, the staff were very friendly and obliging. If I visit Pattaya again, I would book this place for my stay.

Well, considering I was paying 70 SGD...
Well, considering I was paying 70 SGD per night, a rate at which I could stay at any good 3-star hotel in Bangkok, Residence Gardern was really a disappointment,
1) The location is far from the Bus station as well from the two Beaches.
2) There is no proper entrance to the hotel -One way is to climb up the stairs on a slope (imagine that with your luggate) while the other one had to be traversed through their restaurants.
3) The service was really bad - they forgot to provide water bottle and misplaced somebody's else's laundry in my room!!!
4) The owner of the hotel is a retired Expat who really is not up-to-date with customer satisfaction. On the Christmas eve, this is what he said to the guests " Santa would be giving gifts only to those kids who sit quietly on their table. For others, there would be no gifts." ??? Imagine your kid is on a vacation and you get to hear a statement from the hotel service!!!

Very nice room with bedroom and lounge with small kitchenette. Bedroom wasn't that large but with the lounge it wasn't necessary.
Service was very good and the staff were always friendly. Food was lovely and the freshly baked bread was exceptional - a real surprise for Thailand.
Had everything we needed at a great price. I wish there was a Residence Garden in every place we stayed in Thailand. If there was we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This hotel is about a 5 minute taxi ride from the night life. It's actually nice because your not right in the middle of it, as pattaya can be a bit overwhelming.
This hotel is one of the few I've visited in the area that actually had hot water.

I was very pleased and impressed with the Residence Garden Hotel in Pattaya. The staff was very polite and cooperative. I did not have anything wrong with the two rooms when I arrived and no problems the whole time I was there. The food at the hotel was very good. They offered a all you can eat buffet in the evenings that was excellent.
I can't say enough about the hotel. The laundry service and maid service were great, all clothes smelled clean and fresh, they were pressed when I recieved them the next day. Very affordable service.
I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The rooms at this hotel are really suites with a separate lounge and bedroom. They are really comfortable and the air con is FANTASTIC!!!! The bed was very comfortable. Great staff who spoke good English at front desk. The attached restaurant does a fantastic value BBQ buffet. Family Mart across the road. Good parking and quietish street. Only downside was that the pool tiles are quite slippy and I slipped while getting in.

As a single person just wanting to...
As a single person just wanting to get away from work to relax this hotel met my expectations for the most part. The staff seemed very friendly and courteous towards me during the stay there. The only problem I had was one day the air-con unit was leaking furiously, but the maintenance person attended to it right away which was pleasing. And the fridge did not have ice-trays. Other than that, the room was very clean and had adequate space to lounge a bit. The wireless internet access was a plus too. The location was great; just a few blocks from walking street which is less than a ten minute walk away and it was very quiet at night as well. You may want to get a room farther away from the front desk area though because of the hard floors and hearing people walk around, but not a big deal. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to some friends of mine.
