I stayed both here and at the...
I stayed both here and at the Ramada closer to Khao Lak. I like the deserted beaches at Bang Sak. There is a van that does go into town for a few hours if needed. There are a few restaurants - I only tried Khai's Seafood Restaurant, which is essentially a small shack with a few tables, family run, and I believe that I had conversations with Khai himself. Food was good and the price was right. The hotel food is much higher and was alright. From my room, the walk to the beach/pool was a decent distance and took a few minutes - not that the beach is not on the resorts grounds, but there are three long buildings, end to end, so if you are in the first building closest to reception and the main road as I was, it was a walk, but good exercise.

The whole thing was a desaster.All in...
The whole thing was a desaster.All in wreckage and partly broken.Rooms not clean.Rooms and beds were wet and smelling.Furniture in parts. Access to the bungalows partly dangerous or not possible.Managment did not appear and was represented by the bellboy and a girl who spoke no english. we regretted staying and changed to another resort.Sorry for the people who have to stay there.

Really great place to stay for relaxing....
Really great place to stay for relaxing. New bungalows with all comfort. Nice restaurant with a beautiful view over the hotel, beach and sea. Good location to go to National Park and Islands.
