I stayed two days in this hotel, quiet location, big pool with good breakfask, only 5 min to the beach, 8min to center of patong, very good value to stay. I suggest you to order a deluxe room, very spacious with pool view, and the price I pay via Asiaroom is only 43USD per day .

Amazing! After reading some previous comments I was a little concerned however I was more than impressed when I arrived. Myself and my friend, both in our mid twenties and uni students throughly enjoyed our stay. Received complimentary drinks on arrival, very friendly service and room was always immaculately cleaned. The bathroom was a bit out of date and needed a refurbishment and no shower curtain but for the price, what more can you expect? Also would be better to stay in a deluxe room as in superior can here the cars outside but we were often too tired to even notice but if you're a light sleeper, take the deluxe option.
The pool was lovely and big with lunchtime specials. Very close walk, no more than 5 mins to the beach, a hop, skip and jump to a 7/11 to get your drinks and snacks and literally 5 shops down from a huge market.
Will definately stay here again, very happy! Also not strict at all on bringing guests so you can bring friends back for a swim and a drink no problems.

THIS WAS OUR 4TH TRIP TO PHUKET. THE HOTEL WAS NOT BAD AS WE WERE TRYING TO TRAVEL ON A BUDGET WITH TWO TEENAGE CHILDREN. WE HAD A POOL ACCESS ROOM. THESE ROOMS ARE VERY NICE, A GOOD SIZE AND WELL WORTH THE MONEY.
THE POOL AREA IS OK. THE POOL WAS COLD AND DID NOT GET A LOT OF SUN AS THE BUILDING SURROUND IT. THE POOL BAR DID NOT GET ANY SUN OR GUESTS GOING TO IT (NO HAPPY HOUR).
THE HOTEL RENERVATIONS CONTINUE AND A LOT OF CONSTRUCTION WORK WAS STILL GOING ON STARTING EARLY EACH MORNING.
BREAKFAST WAS OK HOWEVER DOES NOT CHANGE EACH DAY. IT WAS OK FOR THE BASIC EGGS.
THE LOCATION WAS VERY GOOD. ONLY A THREE MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH.
OVERALL IT WAS OK FOR THE BUDGET WE WERE TRAVELLING ON. I WOULD ONLY GIVE IT THREE STARS.

We originally stayed four nights at Royal Paradise Resort in superior room. We then spent the rest of our two week holiday at this resort for half the price, better rooms(superior), fantastic pools, great service, great location. We extended our stay from the original four nights to ten night with Asia Rooms with no problem at all. Forget any bad reviews, we had four double rooms, in one room the airconditioner leaked one night they came immediately in the morning and fixed it. In another room the bathroom floor got wet when you showered(So what!!!!!!! we didn't put our clothes on the floor). The staff were great, they understood english, we had no problem checking in, breakfast was excellent, the pool was amazing. The restaurant and live band each night was fantastic and friendly. One night our friend fell over and her leg was bleeding, the staff sat her down and got first aid for her, fussing over her like a mother hen.
We could not have had a more enjoyable stay and have recommended this Resort and Asia Rooms to our friends and family, and we will definately stay there again.

This hotel provided great value for money...
This hotel provided great value for money at 800 baht per night in low season. The staff were very friendly, the breakfasts are great with a big selection and the rooms are a good size. There are several pool areas.
After the first night we asked to change rooms due to a little construction noise from across the road and they accomodated us without any problem.
The hotel is approx a 10 minute walk to Bangla Rd (for those who don't like walking 40baht via motorbike taxi) and 5 minutes to the beach -a good location. We would stay here again.

Myself, my girlfriend and another couple stayed at Baumanburi for 7 nights in May 2008. Firstly, the price was amazing (we paid $28/night/room and this included breakfast) so we weren't sure what to expect (especially after reading some of the reviews). When we got there we could not believe how nice everything was - massive pool (with swim up pool bar), nice restaurant, great reception area and friendly staff.
When we got to the room, 2 things really stuck out - the room was much bigger than we expected, and the bed was a huge king size! The only complaint we had about the room was that the shower temperature was not 'constant' but that is just being picky I know!
The breakfast was more than fine as well (despite prior reviews), they had a lot of noodles and stuff that did not interest us for breakfast, but they had toast, juice, fruit, tea, coffee, bacon, sausages and eggs cooked in front of you, however you like (sunny side up, omellete, etc). Breakfast goes until 10:30am by the way...
As previous reviews have stated, the staff do not speak perfect english - but then again neither did any Thai person we spoke with for the whole week! If you try hard enough and be patient, you will get the message across and the staff are more than happy to help. To all those people who think the staff should speak perfect english - REMEMBER YOU'RE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY!!! It's just part of the fun.
The hotel is located just 5 minutes walk from the beach. The easiest way is to walk through Patong Merlin Hotel (opposite) as there are no locals trying to sell you things that way! It is also the most direct route. The hotel is also less than 10 minutes walk from Bangla d and we walked home a couple of nights and never felt unsafe.
Overall an excellent place to visit while in Phuket. Definitely not 5 star but for the price, it was more than we expected!

we stayed here two nights. All the superior rooms are very noisy since they are near the main road. although the superior rooms have big spaces, but awfully decorated. We booked a superior room through Internet. When we arrived, we donot like the superior room and there is mosquito inside. then we changed to another superior room. but still unbearable, noisy and mosquito. we have to upgrade to Deluxe room with extra 500Baht. Ok, it is not that noisy only when you shut the door & windows. but there is still mosquito. we told the reception and they said they would kill mosquito when we were not staying in the room. but we were disturbed by mosquitos during the whole stay. If you want to have a nice holiday, i dont recommend this hotel to you. It will not give you a peaceful mind and nice view
