The Hotel was more than i expected....
The Hotel was more than i expected. The resort is better than all of the other resorts around us. If i go back to Phuket, I will definitley stay at Dusit Laguna Resort again.

This is my 4th time to stay...
This is my 4th time to stay at this hotel. During those years I tried 1) Sheraton Laguna, 2) Meridien Phuket beach resort and 3) Kata beach resort. Hoever, if you really want to have quiet peaceful holiday with a bit of quality this hotel is one of the best within my experiences in Puket.

I don't think our stay was helped...
I don't think our stay was helped by the fact that it was the school holidays and the place was OVER RUN with kids! We were on our honeymoon and the hotel was anything but a romantic peaceful get-away!
If you go in Monsoon season, beware that you can't swim in the sea and the beach drags up lots of tar which sticks to your feet and means walking the beach equals half an hour scraping the tar off your feet afterwards! The beach bars and restaurants also disappear leaving you with no choice but to eat in the extortionate resorts restaurants!
We had a nightmare check-in which seemed to take ages for most people, but 5 hours for us and we were told various fabrications to as for the reason...!
The hotel also lets in canvassers (people selling their stuff) right into the hotel grounds which we thought was off - you get enough of that in the streets!
I'm sure this place out of school holidays, when the beach is accessible and they're not so busy is nice enough (we couldn't fault the cleanliness, staff etc) but beware it's miles to the nearest town (Patong - at least half an hour by taxi) and the hotel will charge you the earth to get there - you're better off walking out the front door 100yards and getting a taxi by the gate!
In school holidays this hotel effectively became an expensive Butlins, but I have family who have stayed out of season and thoroughly recommended it.

Dusit Laguna is one of the best...
Dusit Laguna is one of the best resort for couples who need a quiet place for relax and a world of their own. The location however is not convenient if you want to go to shopping area, as there is no public transport such as meter taxis or tuk tuk at the resort lobby. The resort can provide transport but the cost is not cheap. So I would say if you have the cash to spent and only want to stay in your hotel, then dusit is definately your choice. Overall, I really enjoy my three days stayed in dusit.

The service of the hotel is excellent, from the reception to restaurants. Eventhough we arrived early in the morning, they allowed us to check into one of the rooms. Breakfast were great, the Italian restaurant served excellent Italian food and could cater to your needs. Only setback of the hotel is the location that is a bit far from town and Patong. The private taxi charges are too expensive as there is no other means of transportation (hotel transport is even more expensive). Overall, we had a pleasant stayed.

The place is really good and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. One improvement you could do is that you can have more fluent english speakign staff. Overall the resort is very good and relaxing and we all had a wonderful time and value for money.

Even though the weather tried to ruin...
Even though the weather tried to ruin out stay (I guess that's why it was low season), we still enjoyed our time a Dusit. This was our second time in the Laguna area and it was all that we expected.
The food at all the restaurants was delicious (even the Italian), and the staff were very polite and friendly.

It wasn't that fantastic experience to stay here. All that area is going through huge unsightly construction project.There wasn't enough transportaion in that area and hotel charges 1200 baht per person for shuttle bus service to Patong, which i think too much. Food at restaurants was terrible.(no other resto apart from hotel's in that area) No other amenities around that hotel area and hotel charges well, the hotel charge in every corner.
I stayed at Ocean Delux room. The bathroom is as same size as room with very old furnitures which i find very odd. Room was clean but definitely need renovation. Lift wasn't working during my stay. TV Remote and light in the room wasn't working properly.I didn't find that staffs were attentive apart from cashier.
