The rooms are very clean and spacious. Every villa faces the ocean. It was nice to be able to sit outside on the big balcony simply to relax and enjoy the view. Staffs are very friendly and speak excellenstreet.t English. Breakfast si sufficient. You enjoy complete privacy. Spa Cernavee is a good place to get a decent and proper massage. If you want some privacy to read your book, the ocean facing area is very quiet and windy. I enjoy the steep walk down from the hotel to the beach.
Its only 30 mins walk from hotel to Karon Circle (where all the bars and restaurants) by walking along the beach. Look out for the tallest building and that's roughly where Karon Circle is. If you plan to be back late, remember to bring a touch as it gets pretty dark as you walk up the cliff back to the villa. Be prepared to walk alot. Shuttle service is useful and would be good if there are more frequency and its 2 way. Tuk tuk to and fro can be very costly. Sunset on Karon beach is a must see.
Not suitable for couples with young children or mature people who has difficulty climbing as the steps are quite steep. Even with the minicart, you will still need to do abit of climbing. Pool is a quite small and suitable for chilling and dipping only. Aircon and fan in the room tends to be noisy and not suitable for light sleeper. Bring along repellant spray if you are prone to being bitten by mosquitoes esp those whose blood type is B:-)
Overall, it was a fabulous experience. I will definitely go back again.

Beautiful Location
Stayed at Centara Villas for 4 night over Xmas. Hotel is in a beautiful location perched on the Karon side of the cliffs between Patong and Karon beach. Each room is a self contained Thai style villa, all of them have views of the ocean. Hotel has two restaurants and two swimming pools. You have walking access to the beautiful Karon beach which is 100x nicer than the nearby tourist trap Patong.
The staff are friendly and well trained, the food is great and the rooms are beautiful (thai villa style) and private.
The only real downside of this hotel is that due to its cliff-side location you need to wait for the hotel courtesy tuk-tuk to come and get you from your room to take you to reception to get a taxi and get about, that is unless you are a mountain goat. Going down the stairs and walking to Karon beach is a nice walk, but getting back up is painful, we only did it a couple of times.
The only other negative is that the televisions in the room are dated and should be upgraded. Other than that this is a beautiful hotel to visit for people to use as a base to see Phuket.

what a great time we had I would recomend this hotel highly .we traveld with our 2 year old son .
We felt so safe it was like staying with family of course without the hassel of family. the rooms were great very private the services great especaily the tuk tuk that drove us to the different facilitys as the hotel is on a cliff this made getting around easy .and our son loved it .
the room service was also great we could just stay in our room with our son and watch the wonderful view .
the courtesy bus to karon and patong was very handy as its a bit far to walk but much better to stay out of the hussel and bussel .
we would certainly go back .

We stayed for 5 nights in june,with this being the wet season we had the whole resort to ourselves.the staff where excellent and always friendly as with most of thailand.the rooms where very clean and the resort was in a good area quiet yet close enough to walk to shops.would reccomend this resort and would stay again.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the bellhops and our luggage were attended to. The reception attended to us promptly and while waiting for papers to be ready, we settled at the beautifully furnished lobby and were served with chilled coconut drinks with cold towels to freshen up. We were then brought to our villa/cottage by a mini car and found the room as beautifully furnished and decorated as the lobby.bathroom was spacious with natural light. We definitely had privacy as rooms were villas and cottages. Although getting to the lobby is a workout, mini cars are available and they arrive less than 5 minutes after you call. The 2 pools overlook the beautiful sea. The beach is a mere 5 mins walk.

The villas are situated on a cliff, with amazing view of karon beach and the surroundings. . is definitely very romantic for couples. However, there are way to many steps to reach the pool and the reception. Although the buggy is available at yr request, it does not stop right at the footstep of yr villa, there are still many steps before reaching the place itself (it depends on where you stayed too)During my stay there,it rained the whole day (for 2days!!!)
and it was quite troublesome to get to one place or another within the resort.Luckily we had a inroom jacuzzi, if not it would be boring.
There is a shuttle to patong and karon beach but only 3 times a day and its one-way, u got to take a cab back.(its abt 300 baht for patong and karon maybe 200)
Breakfast is good with a live egg station to cook on yr request. There is a seafood bbq buffet on friday and is reasonably priced at 800baht. However, the seafood is not very fresh and thus i did not really enjoy the food.
I think its good that u can rent a car to get around phuket and the fabulous beaches. It is about 1200baht . It is definitely cheaper than wasting money on taxis that are monopolised and charged high fares!
I will probably choose another resort near to the beachfront on my next visit as i prefer the beach to be nearer (in this case, centara villa is accessible to e beach through a narrow jungle track that takes about 10-15min).
One resort i would highly recommend is Ayara Hilltops at Surin beach. Amazing villa that commands seaview, jacuzzi and outdoor shower. I still can't find a resort that is comparable to Ayara...........

We enjoyed 4 days @ Centara Villas, blown away by the view, the room was lovely & spacious, bathroom best out of our 3 hotels. Staff very friendly and happy to oblige with the little things ie: getting towels, phoning to check tours etc, we didn't use the internet as much more pricey than @ internet cafes 1BHT per min, I really don't understand why it is so much more expensive for internet use and laundry @ hotels, you can get your laundry done outside for 40BHT per kg. Although we loved our stay we won't return simply because I'm too lazy to climb the stairs, even though there are tuk tuks to take you up & down the cliff it was no good to us as we were on the second row from top, still 106 steps from room to restaurant. On a more positive note, the pools were great, spa divine but again pricey, food was second to none, we loved the restaurant & bar. It also becomes costly with taxis getting too & from Either Patong or Karon approx 200BHT each way even though they do have free shuttles, not always when you want them. Would be happy to stay again if fit but probably won't but glad we experienced Centara Villa. Would be great for honeymooners!!!! Plenty of privacy.

The rooms are located along the cliff with a stunning outlook of the Karon Beach. As we planned to stay away from the bustling downtown area and enjoy a quiet holiday for two, the Centara Villas was an awesome choice. The complimentary 20 mins massage also assisted to remove the pressure away, with very calming sea sounds. The Villas has complimentary shuttle, which makes the transportation within the villa comfy. As the Villas still preserve lots of natural beauty, it serves as a romantic getaway! Plus, there are quite a few activities within the Villas, so our stay had been awesome!! Enjoying the happy hour drink on the cliff bar/restaurant with the beautiful Andaman Sea view made our holiday perfect!

My husband and I stayed at the Centara villas in April 2009. It was amazing - the overall feel of relaxing amongst lush rainforest trees was wonderful. We loved our room, very comfy, clean, serviced well. The seaviews! The relaxing lobby! I would highly recommend staying here if you are wanting some place relaxing, close to Patong, yet away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast was yummy. Great pool,didnt get to try the spa. Only negative was communication with some staff - we missed our shuttle into Patong due to bad communication - so just make sure you understand what's been communicated. Otherwise, staff lovely and helpful.
