Im not sure if the hotel been finished in renovating, the first day we got to the room, we expected have a bathtub in the room because we have kid, but the bathroom have smell something bad from the sewer( the water drain inside) and then they cannot relocated us into the other room immediately. Great swimming pool though, service and location is okay, but the price we paid is not what we expected with the hotel. Overall, could get cheaper hotel with the same service and price.

This was my 3rd stay at Meridian in Phuket. I love this hotel and it is one of my favorite hotels I ever stayed. The location is great and near to Pathong Beach. I will come back again.

Unfriendly staff that is looking the other way when they see hotel guests walking past; rooms in desperate need of renovation; torn sun umbrellas; taxi fare rip off (taxi from airport to hotel 500 Bt, from hotel to airport 1300!); thin walls, noisy; chamber maids ignore "don't disturb" sign.

Spent 19 nights at Le Meridien Phuket....
Spent 19 nights at Le Meridien Phuket. Beautifl hotel in a great location. A short taxi ride from Patong which is noisy, dirty but great for a night out or for shopping. Le Mereidien has it's own private beach which is stunning. It seems a million miles away from the hustle of Patong.We stayed in the newly refurbished deluxe rooms which are lovely. The bed was huge and very comfy, plus the 2 metre walk in shower in bathroom was fantastic.Food excellent in hotel although worth trying out cheaper options in Patong and Karon.Bar staff excellent but again worth visiting bars in Patong for a cheaper and interesting night out!! Breakfast buffet excellent every morning a always greeted by smiling courteous staff. Penguin club for children aged 3 to 12 also very well run and gave us many hours of free time form our two youngest children. Would most definitely recommend this hotel. I have absoloutely no negative feedback regarding our stay at Le Meridien.

well, this is a posh hotel. nice...
well, this is a posh hotel. nice architecture once yuo step into the recetption area. the hotel covers a huge area and has many facilities and restaurants. The reception wasnt really friendly per the Thai standard, i have had better service attitude at other Phuket hotels. I was persuaded to upgrade to the ocean view rooms. Well, I must say the view is not fantastic though i had a discount for that. I also did not find the room as big as those I stayed in other Phuket hotels (Dusit Laguna, Le Meridien Royal Yatch Club, Kata Beach resort).
This is a hotel by itself and is exclusive and has lots of privacy. the private beach is great without the intrusion of the hawkers. Unfortunately the wave was very strong during our 6-day stay there, the water was murky and our children didnt really enjoy the sea. the hotel swimming pool is huge and we spent most of the time there. but it end up quite boring after a while. the hotel has a few interesting activities that offer the guest at no charge, we tried the golf, archery, basket ball, table-tennis to keep the children busy.
we had most of our meals in the hotel. While it is more expensive, i think it is of good value with live entertainment every evening which my family enjoy very much. and BTW - children under 12 enjoy the dinner for free. good deal.
Transportation to Patong area is convinient and easily arranged through the hotel's private care at 330B per trip. Returning from Patong is easy as well, we paid 300B for a private aircon car. the open air tuk tuk will charge 250.
overall, it is a nice luxury hotel to relax with lots of privacy and quick access to Patong though a tad more expensive. I will certainly check the current / wave next time when we stay at Phuket next time.
