The room was clean and spacious. The 3 swimming pools were great, spa services were excellent and the breakfast was great. The hotel is about 10 min walk from the beach with restaurants and convenience stores located nearby. The staff were generally friendly and helpful except for one incident when I requested for a late checkout where the reception staff got irritated and told me that someone was checking in early the next day.

On arriving found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful. We had two rooms that were adjoining from the balcony, which was ideal for a family of four.
The hotel and its grounds were spotless, and well kept gardens and pool areas.
Good breakfast every morning with good selection for all tastes.
Comfortable rooms with huge walk in showers.
We had a few little problems with our air con, but the maintenance department were there straight away to fix it.
So overall a very good stay, and a good restaurant as you come out of the hotel called eight fold, a family run place, serving thai and western food, and good value.

The accomodation was perfect. I read the previous reviews and got no surprises. The accomodation and service provided were absolutely perfect. Our room was upgraded and was very comfortable. We had a baby with us and facilities at the hotels were perfect for him. The staff were really friendly. I would recommend all my friends to stay at this resort whenever they travel to Phuket.

I enjoyed my stay at Centara very...
I enjoyed my stay at Centara very much. The service was excellent. It is an ideal family hotel as there are several pools (one includes a small water slide)so you don't even have to leave the hotel if you don't want to. If you do though, it isn't too far to look around Kata shops on foot. Otherwise, taxis or tuc tucs are readily available out the front. The breakfast is also very good. Thanks.

A very pleasant stay at the Centara Kata. The reception is rather drab with a concrete feel to it, the resort is on the small size compared with Samui and not of the same standard but staff helpful, very clean, rooms good and beds comfortable, only thing wrong is the sunbeds around the pool being reserved at 6 am where signs clearly state this is not to be done, maybe they should enforce this more! Location is OK with shuttle buses to the beach, which is fabulous, or a 10 minute walk. Would definately stay again.

The place was nice and clean, lucky we were placed away from the kids as there were allot in the main pool lucky there are 3 pools. If you are a couple or 2 females ask to be put away from kids. Room was clean and serviced daily and staff were very friendly. The breakfast was awesome and so much to choose from we weren’t hungry till evening, try the omelette, the fruit selection was more than enough as well. Walking to beach is about 10 minutes and in the heat its a drag but can be done. Close to restaurants, markets and shops. You can walk to both sides of Kata from hotel no need for a Tuk Tuk. Left to go to the beach and smaller area to shop and right to go to heart of Kata. Both excellent for dining and shopping. Try Sirada Massage right across the road of Centara it is the cheapest and most awesome ladies you will meet say hello to Yaya for me the owner, she truly is amazing....Allot of sweedish and very friendly as well, will definetly stay again.

The staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. The only areas that let it down were the quality and value for money of the food and the restaurant service. The pools were great but the rules about saving sun loungers with towels were not enforced and the non slip pebble dashed parts of the pool were a bit of a hazard causing cuts and grazes.
It's a bit of a hike to the beach to get round Club Med but the hotel provide free transport there. The local shops are and restaurants are good but as you would expect, prices are tourist prices so some hard bargaining is required.

We enjoyed our stay although found the room too small for 3 adults. It was really a room for 2 in which they had crammed in a fold up bed for my 14 year old son. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever had although if you arrived at certain times you had to wait for a table. Clientele were overwhelmingly Swedish with a few English. Spa was great although a bit expensive by Thai standards as you can get massages just outside the hotel grounds for a fraction of the price. Location wasnt the best as it was quite a walk to the beach but a shuttle bus was provided in the mornings. There was a 7 eleven convenience store a short walk away. The room had tea/coffee making facilities but no milk was provided. We asked them to clear out the minibar so that we could fill it with our own drinks which they did no problem. They provided a free bottle of water per person every day. Taxi fare to Patong was 400 baht, a set fare. We took a taxi from the airport and it cost only 650 baht for a 50 minute journey but on the way the taxi driver stopped at a travel agency and they tried to sell us tours. We didnt buy but booked our return taxi to the airport there. We really enjoyed our stay in the Centara and found it a restful place to spend a few days on our way home from Australia.
