A peaceful retreat from the hectic business of beaches ,food, sightseeing and sunbathing.I can honestly say we enjoyed the hotel and it's facilities and would not hesitate to make a return visit should the chance arise. The golf buggies are a blessing if you have a room at the top of the hill especially after a visit to the hotel restaurant.

There was a mistake of room number when our laundry was returned so it was delivered to another room than ours. No big deal apart from it all hapened on the day of check out and we were a litle delayed.

Despite its remote location, free shuttles to Kamala Beach every hour and twice a day to Pattong are available and are never full.

We spent 4 days at the Aquamarine and had a great time. Although the hotel isn't on the beach (it's about a 20 minute walk) the pool area of the hotel is great with fantastic views of the ocean. We enjoyed several meals and beers at the little restaurant opposite the hotel and the people were really friendly and helpful. The food in the hotel was good but as always in hotels more expensive than outside. We especially enjoyed the swim-up bar.
I think our only criticism was the bed which was on a platform and very hard even by Thai standards. Would also advise getting a lower room if mobility or stairs are a problem.
Overall a nice place to stay with friendly service and a peaceful location.

Booked a SeaView Deluxe room which was very nice but wanted to upgrade after having a look at a Jacuzzi Villa. The extra money for the room is worth it and very close to bottom swimming pool. Great for relaxing and unwinding. Shuttle is available free to Patong every day so for shopping it wasnt a drama to get there. Great to be away from Patong and nice and quiet. Food was really good, loved the buffet breakfast. I definately would bring my kids here next time as there is three pools to choose from and kid friendly.

Overpriced for what is available. Restaurant food is over priced for the quality. Staff werent particularily great considering the general hospitalitly level of thai people is quite good.
To far away from phuket town / patong, and the only taxi they have their usually charges more than anyone else.
I wouldnt suggest this place unless you plan on not leaving the resort and can live with the bad food (both western and thai!!!). The only beach they are near (Kamala) you wouldnt want to swim in so you constantly need taxis around the island.

Nice hotel in general (including swimming pools, jacuzzi,gym) with big and charming rooms. Quiet location, fantastic gardens, and good buffet breakfast.
Nice staff (though some do not master english too well).
Most rooms have a view, and the villas are exceptionnally well oriented.
Lobby and the outside look of the hotel maybe not quite up to a european 4stars hotel, but who cares.
Kamala beach is the only negative point. Like most Phuket beaches it is not really clean, but to see so much rabbish and dumping places along side was really a disappointment.
It takes only about 1 min walking to the beach, but almost no one is there, and there is no umbrella/chairs waiting for you, so rather stay at the swimming pool.
The Hotel is 1.5km away from Kamala, and though there is no real pedestrian path it is not unsafe to walk from the hotel to that small village.
The hotel provides shuttles to Kamala, but only during the day. Taxis can be ordered at a reasonnable price.
To go to Patong, 5km away, it will cost you 300 bath by taxi, same by tuk tuk (to be avoided, unfriendly and definitively overpriced). Same price for a return ride from Patong. The hotel has only 2 shuttle a day, each for only 10 guests (most of the time it is overbooked).
Spa, meals and drinks at the hotel are fantastic, though a little over priced, but still reasonnable given the good standard of service and quality.

While many of the features of the hotel were excellent the location made it very isolated and while there was suppose to be a shuttle service to Kamala and to Patong the service to Kamala only run once per hour and stoped at 6.00 pm and to Patong the service run twice a day and you had to find your onw way back, there is no access to the beach and the part that is at the hotel is dirty. if the Hotel wants to attract further guest it should provide a better Shuttle service to different locations.

Aquamarine Resort is a perfect resort for honeymooners but not for families. The resort is middle of nowhere and this means that you have to rely on resort's restaurants and bars for food.
Every room has ocean view and the pool (although small) has magnicient view to the ocean!
For all those cocktail lovers, there is a 1hour happy hour from 5.30pm-6.30pm where you can get 2 cocktails for the price of 1. But dont overdo it because you might end up having an early night.
The breakfast was little bit disappointing (compared to Holiday Inn at patong beach) with very few choices.
Overall, it is a nice resort with beautiful view but if you are seeking busy night life, stay at Holiday Inn at patong beach because it is absolutely beautiful and magnificient!!!!
