We booked this room based on previous reviews - what a mistake. Make sure when you book a family room, that is what you are getting. Travelling with 2 teenagers we were expecting two adjoining rooms and therefore two bathrooms and abit of privacy from the kids - this was not the case - we were all lumped in one room. There was no balcony or no where to hang wet clothes to dry. The wi-fi didn't work even though ourselves and others asked for it to be fixed - we had to constantly go to the lobby and pay for internet usage. There was construction going on directly on the other side of our wall in the adjoining building. For a family room there was only one umbrella in the room and reception had no more. The beds are like concrete slabs.
On the plus though the food was really good in the restaurant although management need to train staff to understand what is on the menu. Also location is great.

Poor Choice
We choose this hotel due to its ratings and comments i assume made by the hotel on the web site. I can not agree with these ratings for the following reasons.
a/ the web site says '' located in a quiet area of patong'' ,this is wrong ,the room was extremely noisy , particularly as the lobby & restaurant is open to the street ,and the noise carried up through the lobby via open stairs , plus the hotel is on a busy street and with the tuk tuk taxis with boom boxes attached passing by during the night ,deep bass notes would reverberate through our room.
b/ we had a room with a door interconnecting to another room that was occupied by others, and due to poor sealing around the doors it felt like the two gentlemen were discussing their events in your own room ,such was the noise ,banging on the door quietened them down a bit
despite not being their problem.
c/ the double bed was badly worn out , my wife and i could not sleep on the side closest to the window where previous users had made the mattress loose its tension.and we had to move to one side of the cramped bed, towards the noisy and over cool air conditioner .
e/ ask your self why is there no pictures of this inn from the street , obviously this is not present as this would put off many people from staying, due to its surroundings and exposed lobby to the road.
f/ this hotel is not as close to the main tourist area as the web site suggests though it could be a lot worse .
g/ the hotel lift needs replacing ,taking off twice in the opposite direction when using ,and restricted to 2 people at a time .
h/ the pool is as noted is extremely small & cramped , and is indirectly exposed to the street.
the web site says it is suitable for families ,with all of the above problems and lack of security i not think so.
i can only recommend this to people who use the beach all day and bars all night and want a place to crash, preferably using one of the cheap rooms with no glass windows & noise.

Adequate, but smiles needed
The hotel was very basic but adequate for my needs for the 4 nights.
Considering that Thailand is the "Land of Smiles", the staff need to learn how to smile without being prompted, particularly at the front desk and in the restaurant. The cleaners were more amiable than the front desk staff.
Additionally, without notice, the lift was put out of service for repair for my last two days. There was no help offered to bring my 25kg suitcase down three flights of stairs when I checked out.
I dined a few times in the restaurant and apart from my burnt eggs at breakfast on the last morning, the food was very good and reasonably priced.

Enjoyable
We really liked our stay at the Anjali inn.
The room are beautiful and well serviced. I wish we could have stay more long.
One thing amazin is the swimming pool where there is a little space but they made an amazing tropical garden with bamboos and huge banana trees with real banana fruits hanging. Beautifull. We were well treated by everyone and the restaurant is very amazing with good quality in different style of food, specially Thai and sea food. Some friend send us to this hotel and we will send also our friends there. The price is so cheap that I dont know how they can maintain so much quality and services.

Excellent value for money, I have no issues with hotel at all, since I arrived I was treated wonderful, hotel is place in a good location not too far away from enterteiment and shopping complexs and just 5 minutes walk away from Patong beach. Staff are very helpful and make you feel like home, I do highly recommend Anchelli to anyone...great value for your money

Firstly, the Hotel claimed that they had not accepted the card transaction made via AsiaRooms. They requested the payment to be made and charged an additional of 5% for paying with Mastercard!
Also, the TV reception was down on the whole of first day and part of the second day. And we got trapped in the elevator when it brokedown on the second day.
The pool was not special as were the other facilities.
The only plus point was the helpful employees of the Hotel but then again I beleive that the Thais are very hospitable people irrespective if any Hotel you choose to stay.
