Great hotel for the price
The hotel arranged our collection from the airport and were there ready and waiting for us. Our room had a double bed, a shower room/wet room and it's own computer with internet access - it was a bit slow but can hardly complain about this! They organised our trip to Halong Bay and our train ticket to Hue. Apart from a little mix up with our train ticket being mistakenly given to another person, the situation resolved itself but the language barrier was not too bad. They gave us good advice as to where to eat. We only had breakfast once and it was adequete for the price we paid for the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the centre of Hanoi for a really good price and good accommodation.

Excellent welcome, nice tea on arrival. Staff all very helpful. Only stayed 2 nights, but would definately stay again.

Very good
Perfect hotel for the price you pay, not fancy, but clean and very friendly staff (always looking for a good tip), breakfast very good and varied. Only one thing against: try to charge you double for all, better to ask out of the hotel first and then compare. Do not tell them the sites you want to go because you do not leave the hotel without having contracted with them.

Small and very old hotel
We can not recommend this hotel for any price because this hotel is very small like a inn and the rooms are also very small and dirty. Breakfast is free but very poor. Staff is fine but not pro.

Great hotel very helpfull right in the heart of the city left bags while visiting Halong bay no issues stayed extra night on return and was up graded tosuperior room lovely staff would highly recommend

Friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere
Everything is great, the staff, the room, hospitality, helpfulness and very caring. But the breakfast has a lot of room for improvement but it is not really important coz one can find great and cheap food around the corner. But if you have problem with sleeping or relaxing if it is noisy then you will have prob, coz the honking kind of never stops and you can hear it from your room.

Clean Room, Great Location, Attentive Staff
My friend and I stayed at the Hanoi Emerald Hotel for only a night, but were impressed by the hotel. We took a twin room. It's not huge, but comfortable for two guys. The room looked new, clean, and well-maintained -- with a large flat-screen T.V. in the room! The hotel location is great. It's located in the old quarter of Hanoi. Around it are a number of nice cafes/small restaurants, travel agencies, and souvenier shops (most are selling similar things though...). The Hoan Khim Lake is within a walking distance -- which means downtown Hanoi, the Water Puppet Theatre and the Dong Xuan Night Market are also nearby. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We found no problem communicating with them in English.

Thanks to Rose, Xoan and the other...
Thanks to Rose, Xoan and the other staffs who made my stay wonderful. I normally book the hotel room through some websites but just for one night only after arriving I will decide to stay extra or not and this time was also same. My email was promt replied and they arranged the private car ( 15usd was great), its location is very convenient so I could walk to the Hoan Kiem lake, Water Puppet theatre, shops, market and night market.......they even gave me a complimentary map. luckily when I asked to stay 2 more nights and the room was still available, I booked a 3 day tour cruise to Halong Bay through hotel, it was one of my fantastic tours. All in all I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, friendly- helpful staff, nice room and super clean.

Well i had made my first review...
Well i had made my first review before for my last trip and this is the second time i do for this hotel.Hotel's not so big but boutique-a little bit similar with Chinese decor type.We like the painting with a boiled chicken and a fried duck dancing together in hotel restaurant the best.Our room was very clean, TV Plasma and PC in our room were quite good.Staff was very helpful and enthusiastic with our requests.We were happy with daily Hanoi city tour they booked for us.Front hotel is the busy street,so our room was noisy in the day time,but night time,very quite so no problem for us.Overall,it is nice place to stay in Hanoi.
