elegance outstanding
our 3rd stay at a Hanoi Elegance hotel - again it was a delight: superb staff and extremely pleasant. This time we stayed in a Junior Suite which came with more space, a useful balcony, complementary bottle of red wine (quite drinkable)and a DVD player. However it was twice as expensive as a regular room ($115 compared to the $55 our friend paid for her room). We will certainly continue to stay at Elegance hotels when we come to Hanoi, which we intend to do at least every 2 years. Bali is closer for us (we live in Perth Australia) but Vietnam is a more more pleasant and interesting place to visit and the food is outstanding.

Recommended Stay
Very friendly hotel with obliging staff who spoke and understood English very well.
Room was a bit small and bed was only accessable from one side and enclosed by walls on 3 sides which meant you had to disturb your partner to go to the bathroom during the night. However, that said, the room was spotlessly clean with nice bathroom. The hotel is located in a small side street so any luggage has to be taken 50 yards to the main street for taxi pick up etc.The hotel is in an ideal location for the Old Quater of Hanoi and very good value for a couple of nights while sightseeing. If staying longer, their sister hotel, Sapphire, is only 5 minutes walk away and room we had there was bigger.

Sensational!!!
I've stayed in many hotels all over the world and nowhere beats this place for customer service. They bend over backwards to make you comfortable, always going the extra mile. They even organized fit the bulk of our luggage to he moved to another hotel so it was waiting fir us after Sapa/halong Bay. The rooms are amazing. Comfy beds and lots of pillows. Even a little laptop to catch up on business and access the web. Breakfast lovely, served in a small dining room with great service you would expect from a fancy restaurant. Overall cannot rave about this place anymore. Sensational!!!

Great Hotel
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Ruby. The staff were all so very friendly and happy and after a day out exploring it always felt good to come "Home". The location is great and it was very easy to find our way around. If we ever find ourselves in Hanoi again we wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. We intend telling our travel agent about this Hotel. Thanks to all the staff there. We were also so thankful to have someone pick us up at the train station at 5am in the morning and then have somewhere to rest and shower.

All in all, a very good experience. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The room is fine except one person has to crawl over the other to get out of the bed. Avoid the 2 rooms on the second floor as they can be noisy if someone is in the lounge on that floor.

Our stay at Hanoi Elegance Ruby Hotel was wonderful. The staff could not do ehough for you. They pre-booked our train, tours, hotels and guides for us. They are what made our stay so enjoyable. Thanks Elegance Ruby :)

The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful. They went out of their way to make bookings for us and provided lounge areas/showers for us when leaving for/returning from Sapa overnight trains. Rooms were lovely!!
I would definately stay here again! It was fantastic!

Ideal Hotel
This is a very nice hotel with a staff who are helpful, polite and attentive. The manager is most efficient and friendly and clearly the staff take their cue from him. One of them even went to the ATM with us on our first day there, as we were a little worried at withdrawing a relatively large sum of money in an environment that was unfamiliar to us.We stayed at this hotel again at the end of our holiday and as we are going back to Vietnam in 2012 we hope to return there once more.We would recommend the Ruby Elegance warmly.

An excellent hotel
This is an excellent hotel. It was extremely well-run and the manager was always on the ball.

An oasis of calm in a frenetic city
This was the best hotel that I have ever stayed in. If you're looking for mid-range accomodation in Hanoi then this is perfect.
The rooms were reasonably sized and clean and the breakfasts were good.
The hotel is located in a very quite street in Hanoi's old quarter and it really is an oasis of calm away from the constantly honking horns of Hanoi's mopeds and cars.
However, it was the service that was really impressive. The staff were very welcoming and booked a trip and a train ticket for us. They even escorted us to the railway station (at their expense) and showed us right to our compartment. I found out later that they had also charged us $5 less than the advertised ticket price.
Don't have any doubts about staying here. I can't recommend it highly enough.
