The receptionist was not very friendly. I understand that some hotels need to safekeep passports.
But even need me to pay on the spot on my very first arrival for the next 4 days 3 nights which shouldnt have.
Even when checking out from the hotel, they were taking own sweet time of attending a call first and interrupted my checking out process even there were 2 staffs.

Good clean room in excellent location, easy access, friendly staff. The breakfast selection mainly caters to the asian market, but eggs, toast and fruit are available. Would stay again.

Vien Dong Hotel's position was excellent. Just far enough out of the main section of the inner city to walk to and from Markets etc. We had an "outer" room which faced the road. It was a little noisy but what would you expect from one of the busiest cities in the world. I think you could probably request a room in the inside section.
It was very clean and breakfast was great.
Close to a great choice of restaurants.
Porters and doorman were so friendly welcoming.
We enjoyed our stay and it was definitely value for money.

Met expectations
The hotel was well located and the rooms looked new. The shower pressure was slow but better then others I've been to. The service was great and wifi connection was excellent. I would definietly recommend. The price actually ended up cheaper per night then what was quoted through AsiaRooms. Which was a welcome surprise.

I stayed this hotel 1 night. Before booking this hotel. I checked here by inetrnet. On the website (photo)it look so clean & new. However, when I arrived there, i feel that all facillity of this hotel should be upgrade as soon as possible. Also I smell some strong in the room. Breakfast is ok. All staff is very friendly & smile.

The original room was very small and we had requested a room where the bed was not up against the wall. Our request was promptly acknowledged. Food was average as was expected.

The room was quiet but need to know that there is indircet daylight only. It is in a good working distance to interesting tourist spots and a couple of restaurants are around and everything you need for your journey (ATMs, souveniers, small supermarkets, next corner is the back packer quarter, many international contacts). A lot of travel agencies are around. We appreciated the park on the opposite site an island of quietness in the busy HCMC.

Wonderful Stay
I've every good comment for this hotel. The staff were friendly and courteous. We booked a superior room, but when we check-in the superior rooms were fully booked, the staff upgraded our booking to a deluxe room at no extra charge. The room was very spacious and clean. Nice breakfast buffet spread. Walking distance to Ben Thanh Market and drinking outlets. Will stay here again when I visit Vietnam.

Spent 10 nights in room 701 in...
Spent 10 nights in room 701 in this hotel in august 2010 Was very happy with my room which was very quiet (a big plus in Ho Chi Minh City). The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was s bit small but good. Also enjoyed the breakfast in the large dining area. The hotel is well-situated for those wanting to do tourist things around the area.The staff is very helpful and friendly Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to HCMC.
