5/5  Posted by MRS. WOODSFORD, martha, Australia in June 2008
"My stay at the Taj View was "magical". From an early arrival on check-in, the front desk staff were absolutely wonderful. They were always so helpful, as were the other staff at the front door and restaurant. I could not have asked for a nicer stay. I really enjoyed my view of the Taj Mahal as well ... Thank you for such lovely memories."

"This hotel could not be better for a tired hot traveller. The facilities within the hotel were wonderful. The Spa experience was just what was required after a day in 40 degree Agra Heat!! The rate was fantastic from Asia rooms at this low season time so that needs special mention. The location of this hotel is great for all that is Agra."

"excellent hotel with very helpful staff"

"Considering we would have paid double the price if booked through an Indian travel agency, it was good value for money. Location is ideal, close to airport and all major sights. The view of the Taj Mahal was a bit disappointing, though. Nice pool to chill out after a day of sightseeing. The room and esp. bathroom looked a bit run down, but overall ok. Don't expect real 5* hotel standard...but would stay again!"

"The Taj View was excellent value for money. Generally I found that outside of the capital cities in India a 5 star hotel would be a 4 star hotel elsewhere! The same applies for the Taj View - it is known as a 5 star hotel but I would give it 4 stars. Very clean and safe though, room quite large and the hotel is exactly what was needed to escape the intensity of India outside the hotel! I would definitely stay again :)"

"Holiday makers/traveller to India must (a) be flexible (b) have an open mind (c) be tolerant to the local culture(s) (d)expect a low value for money ratio when comes to hotel/motel/service apartment coommodation & assocated services. We stayed in a number of hotels, all of which are rated & charged at 5 star i.e.in Delhi, Agra, Jaipur & Amritsar. The Taj View in Agra is one we walked away without a bad taste. After exciting tours, sitseeing, negotiating the way through with people from all walks of live, returning to a refreshing and comfortable Taj View was rather pleasant way to conclude the day. We stayed 2 nights and overall we enjoyed our stay at this property. If we happend to be that part of the world again, we will certainly pay the high rate and stay in this hotel."

"A very good hotel. No complaints."

"A very good, if slightly impersonal, hotel. Well located. We paid extra for a view of the Taj Mahal but on balance wouldn't do so again. Although the room did indeed look out to The Tak Mahal the smog from the city meant that it was not visible for many hours (NB it isn't lit up at night either). Lovely room though"

"Hotel was room was very nice. The dining room looks really dull with all the wood panelling, definately needs an uplift, however the waiters are friendly and the food nice. The staff at the front desk not very helpful or informative about what to do/excursions in Agra. "

"I have very much appriciated that someone took me up to my room and explaint everything, unfortunately my laguage was sent first to the wrong room ... never mind! Breakfast could be served longer than just 10:30 I have enjoyed my stay at your hotel - thanks! Best regads HW Vadlejch"
