"Too pricy for the town, hotel is OK,location for the town without own transport not ideal."

"We stayed two nights on a trip through Rajasthan in August. The hotel arranged a car and driver for an afternoon visit to Pushkar very quickly. Although it's a bit outside the town, auto rickshaws can easily be picked up outside the hotel. There's no pool but there is a nice garden and lawn and a large terrace with views of the hills and Ana Sagar lake. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality and variety of the meals in the restaurant, which was better than many higher-rated hotels we've stayed in. There's live Indian music in the evenings. The rooms were big but a bit tired, and at present you can't make international phonecalls from the hotel - we were advised to take a trip into town when an emergency arose (fortunately we had a mobile with us). Most guidebooks seem to recommend staying in Pushkar and visiting the sites in Ajmer in a half day. Having visited Pushkar, we're glad we did it the other way round. A good value hotel and we'd stay there again. "
