| "I have stayed at the Bambolim before, about 10 years ago. Then it was only called a guest house.
It has grown since then with a big new building but it has not improved.
My room in the main block was very musty, smelt as if it had not been used for sometime, my veranda furniture had
not been cleaned for a very long time. My room was not well cleaned. The pool chairs were rickety and dirty and never tidied in the evenings as other hotel do. The food was not good.
I do not recommend this hotel. It was cheap but there is no way they can charge more." |

| "As a seasoned traveler in South East Asia, India hotels in general are not good value for money. This applies to the Bambolim Beach Resort. The hardware is there (cable, air con, hot water) but doesn't look nice (cracked window pane and TV remote control plastered over with cellotape, neon lights instead of warm lights), cleanliness very below standard (rooms swept instead of vacuumed, table tops and tray not clean, common areas dark and dusty) and service is civil not friendly (I even witnessed local Indian guests raising their voices in frustration at the front desk staff). The only saving grace is it's got a very private beautiful beach and the 3 local beach eateries are great - inexpensive, authentic, patronised by locals and very friendly.
Get your value for money by staying at a much smaller hotel or a local homestay." |
