The hotel has a beautiful setting and great activities at night. The rooms defiantly need to be refurbished, but they are clean and large. The staff is wonderful. Most of the guests are non-English speaking.

| "Hotel room staff very helpful, Bell desk Lady abrupt about having personal taxi service and personal tailor calling at reception, hotel needs to move into 21st centary on clients request, hotel has in house taxi and tailoring service which isn't always what is required but they object to you using outside services, overall hotel is very nice food is good although breakfast can be a little repetative." |

| "This hotel was supposed to be a 5*.
My room was not clean on check in and despite 3 requests for it to be serviced I gave up. The room itself was nice.
There are several restaurants. The only one that did good food was the main one. The restaurant on the beach produced a creme caramel on a hot plate.
I had an excellent massage but it was very expensive. The pool boys totally ignored a group of youths playing badly in the pool and causing disruption to other swimmers.
I asked for a shuttle lift to the airport and was told by the receptionist that the bus at that time was full and he would call me a taxi. I asked Duty Manager who said no problem! All unnecessary hassle.
This is not a five star resort by any measure. There are other much better value for money hotels in Goa.
The building was lovely and had a nice feel but the hotel itself was not good.

| "We had quite a pleasant stay at Majorda Hotel, but I cannot descibe it as a 5-star hotel (more 4 star). The hotel itself is very nice and clean and the gardens, reception and restaurants are also impressive. The room size was great, but I think that that was mainly because we got an upgrade to a suite. The worst thing about the hotel was the bathroom. For a 5 star hotel, it was a very poor standard - it badly needed a new toilet seat, bathtub, towels, paint job etc. Breakfast was very good. I was extremely disappointed with the swimming pool and the location of the hotel. For such a big hotel, the pool was very small and nearby the hotel there was only one very small shop and one restaurant, so if you want to wander about, there is nowhere to go! The beach is nice but public, which means you can't rest properly, as every 5 minutes someone tries to sell you something. We didn't get a chance to stay at the Kenilworth and if we ever go again we will definetely choose to stay there instead of Majorda. It's nice, but if you expect a "5 star hotel", this isn't the right place for you!" |
