Unfortunately the Marriot was dissapointing and definitely not a 5 star hotel to say the least. I would say this is no more that 4 star at the very best.
We had to wait an hour for our room to be made ready on arrival and it was dirty when we took it. This tended to be the theme for the remainder of our stay. The floor was never cleaned inside or outside. The toilet constantly smelt of urine even after being cleaned.
Also there is alot of noise at this end wing of the hotel.
Generally, the staff are unfriendly and extremley clumbsy with the level of service way below 5 star. Staff of the reception are generally unhelpfull.
Our overall impression of this hotel was poor and certainly would not recommend this hotel to any friends to stay.

| "The hotel is in Panjim. It doesn't really have a beach. The sea is also very dirty and not recommended for swimming. However, as the hotel is close to the city centre, you can visit some nice restaurants in town such as Delhi Darbar and Ritz Classic.

| "I booked this hotel for 7 nights...i had earlier booked this hotel for the month of july but then pre-poned it to june as there was a change in my plan...I several times wrote to asiarooms for the change in this date(they even confirmed it) but i was surprised rather shocked that at the time of check-in i was still booked for the month of july, so technically I should come back in july. After a discussion with the reservation guys they somehow managed to give me a room, but later some guy(perhaps a sub agent or something of asiarooms)called me n requested that for only one night i might have to shift to some other hotel.I was furious and didnt agree...anyways, after me constantly being adamant(because it wasnt my fault) finally that guy agreed(after making several calls to the GM....god knows what he did, but it worked for me)
So enough of cribbing as some might think...but overall i had a nice stay...Bathroom was disappointing as i was expecting it to be huge(atleast a decent big size), also late at nights u can hear noises(people screaming ,laughing etc) so make sure u call the reception and tell them you need silence. We took a Bay view room so the view was Gr8....Would mostly recommend this hotel but would emphasise on the booking part(both for the asiarooms ppl as well as the ppl who in future book with them)....Do the dates and have it in your email as a proof(both from the hotel as well as asiaroom)
Wouldnt mind going again !!!
And I have to say that asiarooms is doing a great job by getting hotels at affordable prices !!
Cheers
