| "This hotel is really easy to find, just tells the taxi driver to go to the Ambassador Hotel in Churchgate, and Chateau Windsor is the building next door. The reception is on the 5th floor. There are varies kind of rooms, 1 to 4 people, with or without private bath, with or without breakfast, etc. Make sure to find out the type you are reserving ahead of time, or even better to have it in writing. They have a kitchen that only serve breakfast.
Upon arrival in an early Dec. night, they showed us a tiny room full of cigarette smell, without a private bathroom, right next to the reception. We refused but they insisted that this was the room we paid for and any room with a private bath will incurred an upgrade charge of $20 and up. Oh well, it was midnight and we were tired. So we ended up paying the additional charges for a bathroom. At least, the place was clean, Marine Drive was just a few buildings away, and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby. And these are the reasons why this place is still getting a 3/5 rating from us, just watch out for the bake and switch.

"Hotel ok. Not exactly representative of the pictures on the website. Fairly expensive for what it is. And I found it nozy (phone rings from reception), ect. "

"Hotel is in a good location, rooms are clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. A little pricey perhaps although Mumbai hotels are probably the most expensive in India. Decent choice of restaurants/bars nearby."

"An excellent value for money hotel in Mumbai. Very efficient, though not particularly friendly. Very conveniently situated for tourist sites. Excellent meals at Gaylord opposite hotel on left - though does not open until after 10 am. Arrange efficient taxi to airport - 700R non-ac - allow 90 minutes. Felt secure."

"After travelling around India for over 2 months we were really very pleased with this hotel. The room was clean, 1 large/1 single bed, couch, coffee table, nice bathroom, deck, sat TV, hot water, in-room wi fi at 100 rupee per hour. The location was nice, we were only there for 2 nights but enjoyed walking around streets that were clean. The architecture and red double decker buses reminded us of London. It appeared to be a middle/upper class area with a mix of business and apartments. The staff were very helpful."
