Would I stay at this location
again:

Most likely
I found this hotel to be in a good location - right on the beach and contained all the amenities I would have expected, however even though I received written confirmation of my booking a twin room upon arrival at the room at 12.30 at night we found it was a double. I don't know if the receptionist didn't want an argument in the foyer at that time of night but failure to advise me before we went to the room was a major problem. The issue was resolved within 15 minutes and a twin room on another floor was found , however it should not have happened at all. If due to circumstances beyond their control the twin beds were not available we should have been told at the time of checking in and should not have been left to find out for ourselves. The offer of a roll-in bed for an adult is not a satisfactory solution. For even the most basic charge of USD$200 a night a fold up bed is not suitable for even a child. Note, this was not the only hotel in a 5 week holiday that did this.

Last Sun-n-sand Hotel Reviews - 2 Unbiased Traveler Review (s)
3/5  Posted by Faiz, India in September 2005
"My stay at the sun n sand was strictly OK. The hotel isint too bad but the room was small and very basic...The washroom was BAD... very old fashioned and the shower curtain had more stains than the colour and the marble was fading away. No complaints but lacked that class that a 5 star offers for sure.About 2 mins away is a hotel called ramee guestline and that is better for the same price(except that it doesnt face the sea). However the staff were friendly and the lobby(recently renovated) gives a great feel during checking in. The food at the cofee shop(AQUA) is good and reasonable and the Indian food at Kabab Hut is excellent. Overall a fairly Ok stay but there are better places around...Cheers"
