Windermere is a perfect escape from the bustle, noise and intensity of Indian city life. If you're looking for tranquility, space, fresh air, good food, beautiful scenery and excellent tea, then Windermere is the place for you. Just a couple of days was enough time for us, because it was so quiet, but we enjoyed every minute.

| "an excellent if rather expensive hill station hotel, service can't be faulted, facilities all you need in that situation (rather spartan rooms no TV for instance)but if you're going there for the walking & exploring couldn't be better. Lots of other places to stay in the vicinity some of the eco-lodge type." |
