Would I stay at this location
again:

No way!
The value of the hotel for the price charged was very disappointing. The location was quite useful, being so close to the airport. The porter and room service individuals were very serviceful and polite. But the room was shabby, the hotel did not provide appropriate drinking water, the toilet water was brown, there was a cockroach in the bathroom, the electricity did not work for the light next to the bed, and the cashier was argumentative suggesting that it was inappropriate for me to take a cab to the airport, instead of waiting 40 minutes for the free shuttle. I was more comfortable waiting in the domestic terminal of the airport, than I would have been waiting in the lobby of this hotel. Centaur really has no business describing itself as a 5 star hotel. I would gladly stay there again because of its convenient location if it cost at least half its current price in USD of $211.

"This was the worst hotel in which I have stayed in India. The service was appalling and the staff were rude and unhelpful. I stayed here because I thought it would be convenient given that it is so close to the airport but there did not appear to be any signs pointing to the hotel from the airport and none of the airport staff or taxi drivers knew where it was. I also had difficulty getting the hotel to organise airport pickup. This meant that the difficulties associated in getting there cancelled out any convenience. "

"Considering the very bad reviews, I must say I wondered if I had made the right choice to stay at Centaur, even if only for one short night in January! I however remembered a positive experience several years ago, and decided to go ahead and see, considering its location close to the airport. I was rather pleasantly surprised. The room was not luxurious, but it was clean (my bed was 100% clean and fresh). It was quiet, which is quite amazing, considering how close it is to the airport. And very friendly reception desk. Sure, the lobby is not attractive, there are better places where to eat, etc. - but for people in need of a room close to the airport, not a bad option - provided one can find a special rate. Moreover, good news: they are in the process of renovating the hotel entirely (which means it may not be advisable to stay there during day time at this point...). "Long overdue", a staff member acknowledged to me smilingly. So I suggest to see what the new hotel will be like. Certainly not the most attractive hotel in Delhi, but a convenient one for people in need to stay close to the airport."

"The hotel has a perfect location for travellers who continue their flight the next day, but it was very disappointing. Firstly, it is in extremely bad repair. Bedrooms and bathrooms not clean enough, and walls and doors peeling and dirty. It cerainly was not worth the 211 dollars we paid for a few hours' stay. On the internet site where we booked our stay it did not say the hotel was under repair (workers are making noise until 11 pm...). I hope you should add to the internet site that the hotel is currently under remodelling, which would be fair to innocent travellers. "

"We had a booking for two days. However the service was so bad, the ambience absolutely terrible. So we moved out the next day. "

"First of all i would like to comment on asiarooms.com for not listening to customers and taking this hotel off your list or at least downgrading it to 2 or max 3 stars! When i checked in the staff member made the suggestion that if i was nice to him (?) i would have got a nicer room (he actually told me how much more!). I insisted i wanted to see the room. He confirmed what i was shown was not the category i paid for (over 201 dollards it cost me ) but negotiable (by giving him money!). When i went to see the room i could not believe my eyes! The furniture was old, coming apart, loose wires (electric sockets), curtains had so much visable dust on them and when i moved the bed it was shocking to see how dirty it was behind. So i went downstairs and i told him the room was dirty and horrible to look at he wanted to show me the actual one (category) i paid for and warned me it was much worst. I told him i was not prepared to pay extra and that i did not want to see a worst room! So i spent the night in a so called "nicer room" and it was so creepy i did not sleep. Only nice thing was the satellite tv! When i went for breakfast it was even worst: horrible food (i did not touch) and dust every where. The furniture where the so called buffet was had trapped food, dust and other bits every where wich made it unsanitary. I complained to staff. Staff apologetic but it was ckear nothing will be done. They kept saying it is a tipical airport hotel (whatever that means!). There is so much renovation going on and facilities like pool, gym, internet, etc are not availble. So much more coulb be said however i am just finishing informing any one thinking to stay here that hotel only suitable for back packers or be aware hotel is 2 star max! Staff nice (corrupted though!), very poor quality room, dirty and creepy. Great location for airport but think about staying at Radisson which near by and charge the some. "
