| "This is definately not a four star hotel. At best it is a three star. Although the communal areas were OK, the actual bedroom room was extremly small (the bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen) and it needed a complete make over. Bearing in mond the cost of the room - we felt cheated." |

| "The Connaught was a much better hotel then expected. The restaurant is open 24 hours and the food is quite good. We ate at it at all different hours (11 pm, 7:30 am) and all meals were fine.
The rooms are fine , clean and comfortable but not luxurious. It was a great location for walking to local restaurants and shopping." |

| "When I arrived in the rooms a few cockroaches scuttled back behind the mirror. I know this is India but really expected more of a hotel in this price range. Room service sprayed the room but more appeared during the next few days. There was building work going on and so it was noisy during the day. The small ledge outside the window had resident copulating pigeons. None of the sockets seem to work without an adapter. The adapter is not supplied automatically so I spent some time fiddling with all the sockets before I approached the desk. Although the hotel says the staff do no tout for tips I was blatantly asked for a tip from room service because this particular member of staff was not working the next day. I only used the restaurant for breakfast. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. The cars booked through the travel service were expensive and the drivers didn't have the level of English I would have expected at the price. All of the drivers insisted on taking me to souvenir emporiums - most without even asking. I was taken to the same emporium three times.
I should probably have stayed at the Imperial which would have only been £50 more for three days." |
