Traveler Rating:

  2/5

My ratings for this hotel are:

    Room
    Bathroom
    Room Size
    Facilities
    Cleanliness
    Location
    Service
    Value

I recommend this hotel for:

    Budget Travelers
    Families
    Couples/Romantics
    Seniors
    Business
    Eco Adventure

Would I stay at this location
again:

Probably not
I was given an handiccaped room with no bathtub with the promise of changing it. Promise not fullfilled even after my requests. Then transportation to the airport much too expensive (10 times normal taxi fare)

"The hotel is under heavy reconstruction. The works are going on also over the weekends. At this time I wouldn´t recommend a stay in the hotel, because due to the reconstruction there are almost no facilities available and just for staying there to sleep it is too expensive. The overall situation is that of total improvisation. As for my information the renovation works are still going on until October/November 2008."

"We expected that the hotel would be still under construction due to the relatively low room-price. Unfortunately the pool is (was?) under construction and this speaks against this hotel if you like to swim. Moreover the lobby is still under construction and other parts of the hotel, too – sometimes there are some noises. On the other hand the room and the service are very good – what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. "

"Checkin at night in the Club took too long and no information about the facilities. Hotel at the moment under alterations, therefore very noisy and no lobby available. Situation, near to train station, a lot of noise 24hrs from the trains. Breakfastbuffet very nice, large choice. Very good beds and warm bedspreads. Service overall good and friendly. Shower in the bathroom very difficult to handle and not handy, almost impossible to wash your hair, not enough water coming out of the shower. Big TV-screen."

"This is my first time to go to India. I am no idea which hotel is the best. I choose Intercontinental because the brand name is good. However, it is wrong and the service below average. I never to go to there again."

"I would at least expect that in a five star hotel you would be able to sleep. Horrible noise all night, first the train and then some pipes were banging starting from about 5 am onwards. Most people need some sleep even when they're travelling, you know?"
