"The hotel & grounds were very nice except it lacked any atmosphere. The bar was empty & the barman didn't even offer ice or lemon with our rum & coke & gin & tonics, not at all professional. The cafe/restaurant served up fantastic food & it was nice to sit outside in the lovely garden. Pool looked nice but no-one else used it! Nice old colonial building but just doesn't feel at all atmospheric!"

"The outward appearance of the hotel is impressive. We were greeted by friendly staff. The public areas are clean but fairly basic. The rooms are something entirely different. The furniture and fittings were very old and shabby. The bathroom was awful. Tiles coming off the walls, outdated fittings, fittings loose on the wall. It needs completly refitting. Very poor value for money as we had paid £147 for the room with breakfast. The breakfast was poor. Very little choice and unappetising. "

"The Hotel is lovely, the staff are helpful and the rooms are a good size and nicely furnished but they have no windows (!), so no natural light and no possibility to spend a quiet afternoon reading in your room. I guess the hotel is ideal for busy people who plan to be out most of the time...."
