| "This hotel has a great restaurant, with outstanding views of the lake, and lovely public rooms. It is steps away from the old city.
The quality of the rooms, however, varies widely: the first night we were put in an annex next door with rooms that probably didn't reach an Indian two star standard; the rooms the next night were better, although our companions had a room with doors less than 5 ft. (1.5 meters) high. I'm sure there are rooms on the lake; we just didn't see them." |

| "nice hotel &very friendly staff - they have a brilliant lake view resturaunt and if you are lucky you can eat from the seated balconies. staff very helpful and when there was a problem in the bathroom came with in seconds to fix it. rooms clean & tidy." |

| "The laundry service was not 100 %, on time but not 100 % clean.
We were transferred to another room (we wanted to stay and extra day and our room was already booked) for the same price but with less comfort !!!

| "Jagat Niwas was a perfect place to stay in Lal Ghat. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant was lovely. Anything I asked for was taken care of quickly. The location to the lake was very beautiful. Aircon was new and good, as was the bathroom. The only downside is that it is at the end of the street - so all of the shop keepers see you come and go and like usual can be quite aggressive. But you just get used to it. I would definitely stay there again when in Udaipur." |
