| "It is special. Unique. To be savoured. It is like travelling back in time and having your own personal staff. Who are lively and keen to please you.It is huge and secluded and romantic. We ate on the terrace with the cook in attendance in the corner. And they gave us a complimentary camel safari the next morning. To be recommended. The village is non touristy. The inhabitants were interested in us but not trying to take advantage by selling. All was magical but if you are fussy about frills and flounces then you will feel adrift. If on the other hand, you appreciate character, authenticity and flavour, you will not be disappointed. We thought we would never get there and were anxious about industrail area we passed through but all was more than worth it!! It was much easier on way out following day. Wholehearted recommendation." |

| "INCREDIBLE LOCATION WHICH OBVIOUSLY AFFECTS THE PRICE OF DINING, ETC. BUT IS IT NOT ALL ABOUT LOCATION ULTIMATELY. WOULD LOVE TO SPEND MY HONEYMOON HERE. COST OF TAKING A CAMERA TO THE CITY PALACE IS RIDICULOUS. BREAKFAST WAS SPECTACULAR. DEFINTELY ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES TO VISIT AGAIN." |

| "A great hotel, in a convenient location in Udaipur, within walking distance to everything. The rooms were large, clean and tastefully decorated in keeping with the ambience of the palace. It was dissapointing that additional money was required to make the most of other facilities provided within the palace complex such as the City Palace Museum and Lake cruises.
Lots of character in the bar area, well worth a visit for an evening night cap, to see some of the beautiful inlaid glass in plaster.
The only dissapointment was that the restaurant and the room did not have a view of the lake." |

| "This hotel was good value for money and an excellent location. After a hectic couple of weeks the feeling of space around us was very nice. There were plenty of walks and just outside of the hotel were lots of shops and rooftop restaurants, meaning that you could walk out at night for something to eat and had plenty of choice without going far. As for the other attractions, it was centrally located. Staff all very pleasant and the rooms well attended and a good size, with comfy beds!! Food and drink was good and averagely priced. There rooms were in part of the palace giving it a lovely atmosphere. I would definitely go back." |

I hope this goes for good and you can used for others." |

| "We were very disappointed to find our room was not very clean and the toilet was quite filthy. There were hairs on the floor of the toilet! It is not acceptable to pay for what you think is a nice and good hotel and find that poor standards of cleanliness." |

| "We liked this hotel a lot. It´s in the palace grounds, and the Maharaja is living next door. The hotel does at times feel a bit dated, but it adds to the genuine ambience, and the service and attention to detail is second to none.
We liked the restaurant a lot, it is the best value food we have had in India.
The Shiv Niwas Palace Hotel and it´s staff are responsible for our very memorable stay in Udaipur. " |
