| "The Oberoi Udaivilas is certainly a beautiful hotel but our expectations are also vrey higi regarding the price and the fact that it was rated "best hotel of the world in 2007" by T+L magazine.
The arrival is fantastic by boat from the lake pichola and very romantic as you can do little sightseeing of Udaipur before arrival.
Welcome is professional and warm, check-in ok.
Our room was one with semi private pool which is clearly a plus because of the beautiful view to the lake and the city. We didn't use the pool from our room because it was quite cold.
The room is good size and nicely appointed, classic design, confortable oversized bed and all the amenities you can expect form a luxury hotel.
The In-room breakfast from the terrace is a must!
The bathroom is nice with a bathtub and a shower.
There are 2 big other pools, the spa pool having the most beautiful view to the city.
The hotel is recently build but conceived like a old-time palace and it's very pleasant to walk through the gardens, fountains.
The animal observatory is nice in the evening when they feed animals, you can see deers, peackoks, antilopes and boars.
The food is excellent but a little pricey.
Negative points:
We were little disappointed not having any special settlements as this was part of our honeymoon trip.
Due to its palacial size, it's less intimate that the Vanyavilas Oberoi in Ranthambore, which was much warmful and with lots of surprises and special attentions." |

| "An absolute gem. Everything top-notched including location, seclusiveness, and decor. The grounds are beautiful. Service was very courteous but could still be improved for this level. Overall very glad had chosen it over the Lake Palace. Wish we had stayed there longer!" |
