"Arrived in Bali Denpasar hotel late at night around 10pm. Arranged for hotel transfer to pick us up. Checked into hotel - initially room given was lower floor as requested, but it was with a king-sized bed. Told them we had requested for a room with twin double bed. Immediately made necessary changes within short time of 10 minutes we got our new room. Our room was on the same floor as the reception and the first room on the corridor. The room was not that soundproof cos inside our room we can hear if people coming in and out of the opposite room or along the corridor. American Breakfast was of normal standard. We chill out after breakfast at the lobby. Wanted to swim at the pool but it was crowded, so just walked along the beach front. Met the driver that picked us up, asked us if we are keen to hire his services for sight seeing. Had told him the day before that we have a group of friends already in Bali staying in another hotel and may make plans with them. Nevertheless, asked him for his rates. After much discussion, we decided that its a bit on the high side, plus was never keen to have him as our driver/guide - cos seems he is trying too hard. In the end we asked the reception to call a Blue Bird taxi to go to Centro. The hotel services, facilities and amenities is of acceptable standard but it wasn't that "WOW" either - just a nice decent hotel."

"Aston hotel facilities are value for money. However the only drawback is the location, it's quite far from the tourists destination. it's a good place if you just want to relax and enjoy all the facilities. We had a great time with the beach, sands, and the pool with my 7-month-old baby and 21 month toddler. Just take note that if you travel with babies, make sure you bring your own cuttleries and plastic bowl. they do not have ones (and most of the restaurants in Bali in general) "

"I would recomend this hotel as our stay here was plesant. Cosy and spacious room with ocean view (we had one on the 3d floor) - the best to listen an ocean before going to bed. Beautiful pool and view from the pool to ocean. Fortunately, breakfast was not unvaried so we could enjoy the selection of dishes and fruits. Service is of the high standard. Spa salon with ratio quality-price is just perfect (liked massages outside more, but if you have them inside you will be given ginger drink with sugar - mmmm, pity, that this drink is missing in menu proposed). The only disadvantage is that the hotel is located quite far from Nusa Dua (around 1 hour walk along the beach) but on the other hand it is less expensive and there are quite large selection of less expensive but often more good restaurants near the hotel. We likes C & C (7 min. walk on the right) with perfect thai soup - tom yam with prawns! and most recommended own made sate. Cocktails-maker there is just a genious - try them. What else to say ... Do not forget to ask (with reservation) for free shuttle but to Kuta."

"We stayed in a Ocean View Room at Aston in June '08 The hotel and the service where greate, with an nice garden and poolarea. The hotel has it own beachfront, but the swimmingfacilities in the ocean isn't good. On lowtide you have to walk all out to the reef (mainly on drysand), and because of the waves it is difficult to reach deep and swimable water. "
