Was a little disappointed with Hotel Security wanting money from my Balanesse girlfriend, they wrongfully assumed she was some prostitute plying her services - which was rather embarrassing for us - otherwise I had no problem with the hotel or location which is excellent

| "Toilet wouldn't flush
rooms very run down
Musty smell
Reception service very poor
Room was payed for months before hand but when we arrived at 2pm we couldn't have our room till 7pm so we went to the pool to find we couldn't get pool towels and when we did (next day) the towels smelt bad.
Next morning we were told we had to be checked out by 12pm. I told staff that we didnt get our room till 7pm the night before and they said if we wanted to stay till 6 pm then we would have to pay for 1/2 a day. Spoke to other guests there and they had similar complaints. Out of 5 I give Barong a 1. " |

| "Generally, this hotel is acceptable considering the cost and location. The breakfast is very basic and service could be improved, eg. provide ketchup and chilli sauces instead of assuming that customer would know where to get them. Other problems - mosquitoes in the room ... toilet faucet not strong enough - pooh pooh cannot be flushed down!" |

| "The door lock was very unsafe. The breakfast was also too simple. But, I understand that the price was low and we couldn't expect much. I'd prefer paying more to stay in a better hotel, at least more secure. " |

| "We stayed at the Barong for 4 nights during our Bali trip. The hotel was awesome, best location, close to everything and the staff were really helpfull, they even drove us a 40 min trip to Bingin when we checked out. I'll definately stay at the Barong on my next Bali trip, hopefully sooner rather than later. Cheers Guys! " |
