Overall impression,good!Pool(x2)are clean,24hrs as we managed to get the poolside room.Breakfast so far was ok,their side orders is nice,I loves it.Room was quite clean,except lack of toiletries.Walking to the beach will takes arnd 10 mins walk,but was fine to me cos along the roads,there are many things to see.Good for budget travellers & it's a nice place to stay again.Barong,we will be back! Cheers.

| "We stayed at the Barong for 4 nights during our Bali trip. The hotel was awesome, best location, close to everything and the staff were really helpfull, they even drove us a 40 min trip to Bingin when we checked out. I'll definately stay at the Barong on my next Bali trip, hopefully sooner rather than later. Cheers Guys! " |

| "We were upgraded to a superior room so had a huge room, comfy bed. The best thing about this place is that it is so central - near all the bars and restaurants of Kuta and just a few mins walk from the beach, but when you walk into the hotel, it seems very tranquil and away from the hustle and bustle of the streets outside. Nice pool and bar too. We certainly thought it was great value for money." |

| "First time I stayed at Barongi was in 199O. Since than I stayed 5 times there. Now it was definitely the last time.
Noisy rooms, which are clean, but the bathrooms could be cleaner. Especially the bath.
It is however very well located near shopping, bars, restaurants and the Kuta beach.
Price/value: in Legian, you'll find cheaper and cleaner hotels (with pool(s) and garden) and hotelrooms. Although these may be not all available through Asiarooms.

| "- great location: close to Kuta beach and Poppies Lane II has everything you need (internet, cafe, minimart, eatery)
- good swimming pools, especially the one at the back: opens 24/7, nice and clean
- service is ordinary. My friend tried to leave a message at the reception (over the phone) but the receptionist refused to take the message
- room amenities is just basic. TV channels are limited and mostly in local language. There's only one english-speaking movie channel programmed from the control room I think. The sink's location is weird though, it was built outside of the bathroom
- good value for money for a clean and decent place to stay for budget travellers and families" |
