| "This hotel is situated in a great position right on the beach at Sanur and handy to a number of lovely beach restaurants. Food at the hotel is also very good.
The gardens are lovely - very old style Balinese with beautiful flowering trees, statues everywhere and a lovely pool right on the beach. Bungalow style accomodation is private and well positioned but the rooms are very tired and the bathrooms even more so. They are however clean and well serviced, fresh sheets daily etc, have TV and bar fridge. There is internet access available which is a bonus and massage etc also available on the beach directly in front.
Information is not readily provided and there is almost none in the rooms, however most facilities exist if you ask. Standard of staff unfortunately does not match that of the many other hotels I have
stayed at in Bali." |

| "My friend and I stayed at the Besakih for six days in March. Our standard room was very clean but the bathroom was in need of refurbishment, we did return after a stay in Ubud and the next room did have a bathroom which showed less wear and tear. Advantages were a nice big room with a balcony, being upstairs we caught any sea breeze on the balcony. The gardens and poools are fantastic and are kept in immaculate condition and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast supplied was very good with lots of choices. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at the Besakih and felt that it was very good value for money. We will return." |

| "We stayed in Besakih Beach for 5 nights. In Bali it was the 6th hotel we stayed in, and at first we felt disppointed. We stayed in the bungalows (which were the nicest), which were OK in size, but we thought things looked a bit shabby, although the beds were good. The patios were big enough for four chairs, so we could play games with the kids in the evening. Prices of the mini-bar and restaurant were very, very reasonable. Bungalows 223-226 have a good and friendly location, and the connecting door made our stay easy with the kids in the other room. Although our first impression was not that positive, we did have a good and enjoyable time there. Staff is friendly, service is good (we had airco problems which were fixed instantly), and they have a good kitchen. The location is great, right on the beach and close to other restaurants. " |

| "An excellent hotel.Best on Sanur beach in my opinion! The two pools are fabulous with character, sea view and a little bridge in between. The staff are friendly and many people I met come here year after year. The restaurant has a sea view. I stayed in the standard room with a balcony, over looking the gardens; very good value. I will stay here again " |

| "The service at the Besakih is excellent - the staff are really friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in need of renovations. The rooms are in need of a good coat of paint and the bathrooms really need looking at. This was our second visit mainly because of the excellent location and friendly staff. " |

| "Very good position on the beachfront, close to tourist market, shops and good reasonably priced restaurants. Restaurant at hotel was good, staff very friendly. Poor in a lovely position looking onto the beach. Not plush but very homely and comfortable. " |

| "Initially booked for five nights, we found this resort so relaxing and friendly we extended our stay by another 4 nights. The staff are absolutley marvelous and will do anything to satisfy guests. The pool and surrounds is the best of all the hotels along the Sanur beachfront and the beach itself is crystal clean.
There is plenty of shade from the beautiful palms but just watch out for the squirrels dropping small coconuts on your head (or worse).
There are plenty of resturants immediately adjacent to Besakih both on the street or in the evening on the beachfront under the stars.
Admittedly some of the rooms are looking tired, but as the rates for all rooms are the same (excepting the walled private villa suites)if you're not happy with your room they will happily show you to other rooms .
The resturant is quite good though if you're looking for a quite, candle-lit dinner, you will have to try and do it before the pianist starts tinkling (or rather banging) the ivorys more reminiseant of an old western saloon bar.
This resort is value plus and Sanur leaves Kuta and Legian for dead. " |
