"Pool a bit closed in. This property is in a great spot and suits for shoppers and beach acess about 200 mtrs it looks like the property is being up graded. We were given a suite which was huge. We enjoyed our stay."

"We had a free upgrade to a superior suite on the 2nd floor. The 1st floor suites will be great as the pool are just in front of your door. The hotel looks modern and nice with a nice pool just a jacuzzi lacking. Breakfast food was excellent. The location of the hotel is 5-7 mins by cab from the central legian shopping area. Otherwise, it is a good location that is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the town area. The best thing is that it is just 5 mins away from the beach. Also, the eating place-Wayan & Friends serves good satay which is just driectly opposite the hotel."

"The facility is 10 years old with a renovation about 5 years ago. (It's actually time for another renovation.) Room are a nice size, but the bathrooms are TINY, with many rooms only having showers and no bathtubs. I suggest you inspect or insist on washing your room's air-con filters. I woke up with bad allergies and found the culprit was the dirty air-con filters which perhaps hadn't been cleaned since the renovation 5 years ago. It is Legian, which is a middle class resort area of Bali. The hotel is very very close to the beach. It is walking distance to nearby market shopping, but you need to take a cab to reach Kuta where most of the tourists, restaurants, and bars are located. There is a NOISE factor here. The nearby pubs and karaoke are VERY LOUD and penetrate every room in this hotel. I suppose if you are staying out late yourself, this is not a problem. But it is uncomfortable if you want to retire to bed before 1am or 2am. There is a shallow wrap-around pool, which when used by guests can also be noisy under your window. The hotel seems to have no closing time on the pool, and noisy, mostly western guests seem to take advantage of the slackness. The price is very reasonable (which is why I have stayed 3 times in spite of the noise). The vicinity to the beach is also idea. If you stay 3 nights, they provide free airport pick-up and delivery. (They don't really advertise this well, but it is a nice feature.) Staff is generally helpful and polite. One front desk gal seemed to try to push for her own tour guide. We booked a group tour (in March '08) and found we were the only ones in the group, so it was like a private tour at half the price. Apparently this is not uncommon, so you can save a lot of money and gamble a bit on either a small group or only yourselves. Money changers in Bali are commonly crooked. They will frequently play games or short change people when exchanging. The hotel will point you to a safe exchange at a nearby photo lab. I had the most excellent massage of my life nearby this hotel in Seminyak. It was a good walk up Jalan Raya Basangkasa to a place called Jari Menari. It is run by a Californian woman and her staff are excellently trained."

"We took our two grand children to this hotel and had two rooms. The boys had the basic room which, although the bathroom was small, was ample for the two of them. My husband and I had a superior suite which was more than sufficient. Dressing room and sitting room were a great bonus. I could not fault this hotel for value for money. Service was great and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The pool was really good as we could stand in all places. Added to that the hotel is in a great location, just a short stroll to the beach, cheap shoppig area and a number of good restruants. We will definately go back to this hotel again and our friends who stayed elsewhere this time will be staying there on their next holiday after seeing the velue compared to where they were. Hotel pickup to and from the airport was an unexpected bonus. Great"

"Casa Padma was great. The staff were wonderful - a lovely introduction to Bali. I look forward to staying there again soon."

"Overall room and experience with the hotel is great. The only set back is that the bathroom is a bit too small. Other that that I really enjoyed my stay there. Location is not too far from the busy area of Kuta but also not too quiet with some shops and eateries nearby."

"The hotel is in a good lively location at a nicer end of the beach than Kuta. It has convenience stores nearby as well as many restaurants. However, the restaurants were a lot better in central Kuta, but this was within walking distance. The proximity to restaurants and bars did mean that it got loud at night with the music often not stopping until 1am. Bluebird taxi group gathered at the bottom of the road which was very useful. The swimming pool was very nice and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very nice with lots to choose from. Free airport transfers are a great bonus! "

"Staff very good, location - short walk to the beach and close to many shops and cafes. Room size we were upgarded to the deluxe suite, would not have liked to be in a room any smaller, room dusty and bed on first night did not feel clean, generally the whole complex is in need of maintenance as it is becoming a bit jaded."

"Room is small and the toilet is quite dirty. Expected to find lots of mosquitoes in the toilet and when reported the matter to the staff, they only gave me an insecticide spray. The breakfast is quite good and staff are very friendly. Don't expect to swim in the pool cos it's lack of privacy: People having breakfast and from the room can see the swimmers."
