You get what you pay. Small hotel with the most basic amenities. The hotel has a nice balinese outlook. However, the overall look and feel of the room is very old and outdated. The bed is not too comfortable. Bathroom is rather old and apart from hand soap bar,they do not provide any other stuff. They do not always provide rug in the bathroom, so when the bathroom is wet, it becomes rather dangerous. Despite the old furishing, the housekeepers kept the rooms well and clean every morning. The breakfast serving is also in a real tiny portion, be prepared.

| "there's a problem with the water supply which was ongoing for over a week before being properly repaired. supply of water is a very important facet and should be promptly and correctly repaired. the staff were curtious. rooms probably could do with renovation." |

| "This hotel was basic, as we expected for the price. We stayed for three nights and each night we were moved to a different room. Our room was not available on arrival so they booked us into another room (which was larger but had no extra facilities)we were then told we had to move the following day as our room was a smaller room. So we moved but this room smelt like vomit and the bin looked like it had been vomited in and not cleaned. We also had no hot water in this room. We were moved again for the third night to a room without the stench and with hot water. I spoke to another visitor at the hotel and he said he had been there for a week without hot water. The other thing I disliked is that the sheets were stained. Cleanliness was definately not high priority. On the up side the pool was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Outside the room the hotel has a cosy feel about it. If you can get past the room then it is great value as it has all the features a more expensive hotel has." |

| "Champlung Mas is great value for money. It has all the basics, is very clean and quite spacious and the communal areas have that nice "Bali" feel. The rooms are serviced daily. It is well located, away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets of kuta, and yet only a short walk away. Breakfast is even included daily until 11am ! My only criticism would be of the leaking shower and the temperamental air conditioner. Service was a little slow in attending to these problems. But overall, well worth staying ! I would definately recommend the hotel to travellers to Bali, especially for lengthy stays.

| "Recently stayed at the Champlung Mas for 9 nights. We did not know what to expect having paid so little for the whole family but were very pleasantly suprised. The staff were wonderful, very friendly, polite and spoke excellent English. The room was big and clean but the bathroom needed a bit of refurbishment. The pool and facilities were good but watch out as some of the tiling in the pool needs repair. Lovely garden setting and good breakfasts included. We would thoroughly recommend for those on a budget and like us just want a clean, cool roof over our head at night." |
