excellent position, can walk to most of the surrounding facilities. Excellent & quick service. Ice delivered to room straight away,great variety for breakfast, Bar service and pool side very good. Reception, can't fault, overall room was terrific, had garden terrace ground floor suited us.Next door to huge shopping mall,great. Over the road a convenience shop for small items. Plenty of eating places around to suit all tastes. Had the use of GYM for showers with clean towels,as we had to book out of room by 2pm, and flight was not until 10.30pm so it was nice to have this facility available.Beach area has been cleaned up, finished the stone wall in front of Kartika Plaza,looks good now. Staff all very friendly and helpful.

| "Overall our stay was enjoyable and the hotel facilities were good, the only negative with the room was that the fixed hairdryer in the bathroom was not very good.
The hotel was situated within easy walking distance to the main Kuta areas and the Discovery Centro Shopping next to the hotel was good for shopping and had great cafes.
For anyone thinking of staying at Kartika I would recommend this hotel. " |

| "The hotel is still undergoing renovations, meaning a lot of rooms were not available and there was some construction noise. Whilst we were there, it rain a bit and the ceiling in the restaurant where breakfast was served leaked severely.
However, the hotel and its staff were fabulous. Particularly the staff. They were extremely friendly. The hotel management has trained their staff to speak English, and they are currently learning Japanese and Russian (to cover the expanding tourist market from these parts of the world.
Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone." |

| "This resort provided everything you would expect from a 5 star resort plus more and would carry my strong recommendation. My only disappointment from an 11 times traveller to Bali was the cost of the in house dining. Most nights the restaurants were very poorly supported because of the cost. However there are plenty of good quality restaurants within easy walking distance. We found excellent dining inhouse at the Bali Dynasty resort a few doors down where we also met many Kartika guests. The Dynasty held an excellent roast dinner night (just like mum used to prepare) at about 100,000rps per head cheaper. Don't let me put you off this resort, it's great, just watch dining costs if yor trying to budget and like value..

| "The hotel is in an excellent position - next to a Shopping Mall and across the road from a Water Fun Park. The breakfasts were great - extensive choice of Western and Asian dishes. We booked two rooms which were not available at the designated check-in time. After a wait of one and a half hours we were allocated our rooms. They were not non-smoking as we requested and were in the yet to be re-furbished section of the hotel. These rooms are quite 'tired' in appearance. Upon requesting a change only one non-smoking room was available - this was in the renovated block but much work is still being done on the lower floors and noise and paint/varnish smells were evident. The renovated rooms are well presented and once work is completed on the lower floors, all should be well. The requested change to the second non-smoking room for other family members was not effected until the next day and not until the family members were made to wait for two hours in the lobby with no feedback as to why they had to do this when they could have been relaxing around the pool!Unfortunately the above incidents provided a negative experience for us that would otherwise have been a most enjoyable stay at this hotel." |
