this hotel has been my favourite one during my stay in Bali. the price is really good on Asia Room !!
the location is great, 10-15 minutes walking from Ubud center. the hotel has free shuttles every hour.
the area is gorgeous, the hotel has a wonderful garden and a very very beautiful spa. I recommend the rooms which are not directly behind the wall as there are some noise because of the traffic on the road. the staff was very helpful and very kind. the swimming pool is a bit small but very nice too. we were very relaxed in this hotel ! the only thing that I found a bit disappointing was the breakfast and the restaurant. the service was not so nice there.

| "Third time back...service as always the best.
Close to Ubud centre, shuttle bus available every hour, magnificient nights with frog choruses and river sounds..Old-fashioned hotel built in the hillside next to the river ; amazing views thought the lush green treetops to the river, springfed pool, very tranquil setting. But beware its got LOTS of steps,so its not suitable for the elderly, family with young kids and people who dont like steps.Everybody else -believe me its worth it!
Some negative sides: bathroom is very run down but clean, no TV, no fridge,no hairdryer, the lights are very dim and cant read at night.
All and all this very special place still a good value.

| "Very nicely situated hotel in the village of Ubud. Good service and well kept and maintained. Not suitable for disabled persons due to the slopes on which the hotel is built. " |

| "The location is quite far away from the market. Walking will take approximately 20mins and quite deserted at night. But the hotel provide shuttle every hour to town. No tv and hair dryer in the room. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room too. Breakfast with limited choices. Rooms are dated but nice view. Way too many staircases and i happened to stay at the most bottom one. Staff are quite friendly and polite. " |

| "This hotel lies within a very nice, rural area! The facilities are beautiful and very typical balinese. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and provides perfect service. Within a 5 to 10 minute walk you reach the center of Ubud and can explore everything ( like many temples, shops and monkey forest) from there.
Make sure you get a room close to the river and away from the street, because otherwise you will hear the traffic. We would not recommend this hotel for families with toddlers or very old people with walking disabilities, since the many steps could be trouble.
If you want a romantic and quiet getaway and yet like to have access to the cultural centre Ubud this is just perfect. " |
