| "My family stayed in this hotel for three nights. I would say that we had a pleasant time. We stayed in the deluxe "C" room which had a pool view. The surrounding area is clean and well maintained. Most of the time it was peaceful and quiet especially at night. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The beach is just a 5 - 10 minutes stroll away through an alley. Shops which sell souvenir items are just across the street. Just make sure that this is the "Kumala" hotel that you want to stay in. There is another "Kumala" hotel nearby which has direct access to the beach and apparently more upscale which was were we initially intended to stay. Just the same, our stay here made our vacation in Bali pleasantly memorable." |

| "Overall, the hotel is not clean, especially the toilet.
Bell boy - double standard.(in my case when i arrived with my family they don't even bother to help us to carry our luggages but when the foreigner came, the willing help up.) See what i mean.
I would not recommend anybody to stay there." |

| "We had an overall good experience here and it was a good introduction to Bali for our first time. We got one of the cheap rooms as we were going to be there for only the one night, we arrived at 11pm, and we went on to Ubud the next day. It was most accommodating and served us well for what we needed. We found it very clean and we had the best shower of the whole trip there. The shower even out shined the top range resort that we stayed in at Ubud. So was the breakfast. You can eat as much as you need to. The staff were very friendly and helpful." |

| "It was quite nice there, but you have to be careful and add to your reservation that you don't want to stay in room 201 (close to the street). They try to put you in this room and hope that you will not complain. After complaining they give you another room so this room is always "reserved" for new arrivals." |

| "The Kumala hotel is set in a secluded part of the main area of Seminyak . It is in an excellent location for shops , bars and beach. The hotel itself is extremely clean and well maintained. The room were large and my queen size bed was the height of comfort. The marble bathroom was large and bright and contained bath and separate shower.
The service was excellent. The breakfast was simple - Indonesian or western. The staff were polite , professional and friendly . I will be staying there again. EXCELLENT.
One point to note. 'C' Rooms have adjoining doors which are not soundproof.Good for families but otherwise not recommended.Room service ends at approx 10.30pm but there are fridges in the rooms." |

| "We had a late arrival ( at night ) and in our room the a.c. didn't function well and they couldn't repair it at that moment. Since all equal rooms were all booked, we were upgraded from a deluxe room to a family suite which was really great. This is a good
place for the budgettraveler and clubbers ( double six
road, 10 minutes walk away ).
The staff is helpfull and friendly, their breakfast
which is included is basic but okay.
We had a pleasant stay in the Kumala hotel.

| "Standard room fit the price paid. Daily buffet breakfast was not sumptious but satisfying. Service staff were very frindly and helpful within reason. Only disappointed to learn that "no mini-bar" translated to "no fridge".
Cost and standard of meals at hotel restaurant was also surprisingly good - at times better than some eating places outside. What was pleasant also was that room service did not cost more.
Novelty of bathroom open to the outside quickly faded with having to share it with mosquitoes and some unidentified small animal which made regular toilet stops onto the bathroom floor.
Two pools were cleaned daily. No complaint other than one was a bit more than an "oversized bathtub" although it was nice having it practically at our doorstep.
Overall we got what we paid for and cannot complain but will probably pay a little more in future for better creature comfort." |

| "A serene spot for a get-away.
Staff were friendly, and pools and garden delightful.
Breakfast was excellent.
Unfortunately the bathroom althought cleanish, showed signs of wear and tear.
Hotel locally know as the Grand Kumala.
Would likely stay there again." |
