I reminded them during checkin that a 3-bedded room was paid for but it turned out to be a small twin instead. After a trip back through the lovely garden, the reception said they only have 2 bedded rooms and will send one more later which was subsequently squeezed in.
The room (219) looks refurbished and was resonably clean although the lights were very dim as per earlier reviews. Also no hot water to make drinks as well. But the quaint semi-detached bungalows (chalet like some said) making up the rooms are quite cute.
Breakfast very very limited choice of mostly bread with a long queue for some omelette. Pool was nice with a little ball and waterpolo goalposts to frolick around but don't get a room near the pool/ bar if you're a light sleeper as the Karaoke sessions can be rather loud at night.
Overall a quiet peaceful retreat 5 minutes away from Matahari Shopping Centre although you can find similar accomodation for a more reasonable price (USD66 per night for 3 beds - don't know how Jerome of S'pore got S$280 for 6d stay) if you intend to rely on the taxis instead of walking around.

| "The aircondition is not cold enough. Don't even need the blanket when we sleep..is hot!!!.
When we asked for the transformer (the multi socket), the receptionist told us to get it from the supermarket. You know what, we managed to borrow a transformer from the other hotel where our frends stay.
Regards.

| "We stayed there for one night (before return flight to Europe). Best days are over, little bit worn out, needs renovation. But good value for money." |

| "Generally very pleased. Was originally given a twin bed room although requested a double, but when I queried this I was immediately taken to another room with a double bed. All staff were polite and most very friendly with a number remembering our names. Had a problem with sink plug which took a couple of requests to fix and couldn't get hot water from shower, but when someone came to check was told the fittings in a few of the rooms were the wrong way round so cold was hot!. Grounds were immaculate and a delight to walk through. Very peaceful inside, away from the busy street. Had a small problem with ants in room, but just needed to remember not to leave anything sweet exposed. Surprised there was no facility for making hot drinks in room. Lighting in room rather dark. Would be happy to stay again." |

| "good location
Had a faulty air conditioner the one evening (they did try and fix it) which disturbed one a lot.
Staff friendly and tried to assist and fix things if they were broken." |
