Hard to find from the airport. Located about 2 hrs away on a narrow highway that winds along the coast line. The pool and view are fantastic. The morning breakfast included was excellent with friendly service. The rooms are self contained bungalows that were in need of a overhaul but were still comfortable for the budget traveller. Very quiet atmosphere compared to locations closer to the Kuta area. No beach but nice infinity pool. Close to some good diving in Ahmed. Walking distance to the local town which is tourist friendly with ATM and money exchangers. Good resturants close by. Get a guided car tour to see the area. Don't expect the Hilton.

| "We stay 2 nights in a standard room. The bathroom was in need of renovation. Bedroom comfortable and clean. There is no TV or phone but the rooms have a fridge.All the bungalows face the ocean. The airconditioner in our room was not working, so moved on the 2nd night to a similar room with no airconditioning problems. Our bungalow was approximately 15 metres from the sea wall and you could hear the waves at night hitting the sea wall. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the ocean during the day. There is no beach as such but the hotel has a nice pool overlooking the sea. The meals in the restaurant were of a good standard with a nice view also. It is a 15 minute stroll into the main area in Candidasa it self. The Staff were all nice and helpful.
We would stay here again but upgrade to a superior room which has a Balianese out door bathroom." |

| "We had very restful stay. Lotus is easygoing and romantic hotel with very lush grounds and traditional rooms, outdoor bathroom is great fun, staff is superb and service excellent. Beach doesn´t quite exist, but access is easy from the stairs if you wish to go for a swim in the ocean. The hotel food is nice and the prices quite reasonable. The location is pretty easy for making trips around the East (and even Center) Bali. Candidasa as such is a small village with many restaurants only short walk from the hotel - the great thing is you will not get any hassle from any hawkers in the whole area - unlike some of the other places in Bali we went to. We would go back anytime." |

| "Very nice hotel with fantastic diving center (Gangga Divers: well organised, safe, friendly...). Standard bungalows are simple but clean. Staff is very helpful. The hotel is well located and few hotels arround have free pick up. I would recommend also massages at the hotel(do not choose the SPA at Candidasa)." |

| "When I read reviews from others before I booked rooms at Lotus Bungalows, I thought they have been to different places.
Now I have been there and I can recommend this place.
It is ideal for people who like a quiet place. The only downside is, it is far from the center of the town. It takes some time to walk there if you don't have a car available." |

| "We stayed at the lotus bungalows for 3 nights. the room itself was clean, comfortable, and whilst fairly basic, was good value for money, however, what we liked most was the bathroom, which was essentially outside, - with a roof over the sink / toilet area in case of rain. It seemed to be more recently renovated than the rest of the room, but was really quaint, including statue and flower bed. The best feature of the hotel was the infinity style pool, which was very large and really lovely, and had a great huge day bed at the end. whilst not located in the centre of town, it was only a 10 minute walk to the local bars and restaurants, and that meant the resort was really quiet at night as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay." |
