| "The location was excellent - close to Centro - Waterbom park, Kuta square. The staff were very friendly, the only thing wrong was the TV channels no cartoon network for my son but very happy to stay there again." |

| "Location, in the heart of Kuta, is ideal, provided you are looking for the real tourist centre of Bali. Rooms are fine, although bed-linen (rather grey looking) and towels (a little threadbare) could do with some improvement. There was excellent live music nightly, which made it unnecessary to leave the hotel every night looking for entertainment. The hotel layout with bungalow/chalet style accommodation set amid beautiful gardens was excellent and could not be faulted. Overall, the hotel represents value for money and makes for an enjoyable stay. Attention to the less satisfactory matters mentioned above would give the hotel close to 4 star rating! " |

| "Fantastic location. Huge rooms. Great pool. Restaurant food is great and having a band playing each night is a bonus. It means you don't have to venture too far for entertainment. Would definitely stay here again." |

| "I was disappointed and did not think it was that friendly, I didn't like the breakfasts and it was much too expensive for the over standard." |

| "The place is quite greenery, its swimming pools are lovely and clean and the staff are friendly. However the facility inside the room might need to be refurnished and the buffet was not that versatile, plus open restaurant made the flies dine with us.
Though, there's no lobby for this hotel, it's really as mentioned located at the heart of Kuta Square. Overall this hotel is OK to us." |

| "The hotel is a little old and need renovation, but it was cheap and clean and the price was fine. Breakfast was not good - there were too many flies in the food, and is wasn't delicious. But again, you could not ask for more regarding the price. Next time we will spend a little more money and get a better quality." |

| "The Melasti Beach Bungalow Hotel is not a 3-star hotel. It's more like a 1/2-star hotel. Out of 4 hotels I stayed in Bali, one costing me $7 per night, this one was hands down the most dissapointing one. Breakfast was terrible and indiscribable. With an enourmous property, the restaurant faced a dirty and loud street, and in the land of the most beautiful Balinese art, decorated with poster of a semi-nude Chritina Aquilera among other music stars. The main light fixture bulb in the room was so dim, probably as a way of saving money, that the only way to keep the room properly lit was to turn on every single light in the room, thus using a lot more energy. The bathrooms had no hand towels or mats for the shower or tub; the staff was selectively friendly and some didn't even bother to smile or get up from their sitting position to answer questions. I also got hussled by 1 porter, offering me anything from transport to women. I expected that in the streets of Kuta, but definitely not from staff. Room service food was terrible for the price & drinks were completely watered down. My room service meal from the previous night was cleared at 4pm, by this time, covered with ants. One night I was walking into the hotel while live entertainment was going on in the restaurant. I turned my head to see what was going on and within a fraction of a second, a staff member was behind me telling me to go "buy drink". I did not like my stay there at all. It was very unpleasant and I did not feel safe there. Also, do not even think about using the phone in the room, even in an emergency. I lost my credit card, the operator was rude & uncaring, the emergency number blocked, and I ended up spending US$36 on short calls trying to save the situation. Just cross the street and the rates are about 65% to 70% cheaper. For the same rate, there are plenty of better palces to stay." |
