We had great room with views of ocean staff fantastic i think the hotel should maybe give out say 1 /50% DISCOUNT VOUCHER on food.in main restaurant so people eat at the hotel AT LEAST ONCE DURING THERE STAT

| "Breakfast was average, the pool was filthy and you couldnt swim in it, the toilet flush didn't work and the shower got blocked, so I wouldn't recommend it if your not a budget traveller!" |

| "First time booking accomodation over the internet and it was really the recommendation of contributors to the balitravelforum.com that lead me to this website and the MBR. Great location with beachfront access. My son and I stayed in a suite which happened to be opposite the main pool. Delightful. Shops that I needed to access were very close by as was the centre of Kuta ( 10 min. walk ). Excellent location to some very good restaurants in the north legian / seminyak area not to mention the INDON National in Padma street in Legian.
Good staff and I would return there again and use this website again as well." |

| "In summary the Melasti Beach Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade and a face lift . The positives of the Hotel are ;
Family /Cottage suite : Rooms are huge with king size bed , large bathroom and entertaining area with a small porch out the front . The rooms however are dark .
Hotel Location : Right on the beach and a close walk to markets etc , however dont let the kids swim alone on the beach there are dangerous currents 3 x Swedish Tourists drowned whilst we were there !!!
Cleanliness : The cleanliness of our room was excellent the cleaner had worked at the Hotel for 12 years cleaning the suites !!!
Melasti Spa : Service and massage was excellent ask for Mardi she is the best !!!
Negatives :
Breakfast : Seems to be a different menu most mornings that appeared to be re heated left overs from the night before , other than the omelletes and bacon cooked in front of you by one chef after you wait in line for service . Best described as a scene from the show Mash with everybody serving slop onto their plates from the servery and then waiting 5 minutes for the toast .
Swimming pools . Are very old and need an upgrade . I noted the strength of the chlorine used one night by observing the attendant pouring half a bag full of chlorine powder into the pool !!!
Peace and Quite /Privacy : Almost non existent you cant have a lazy quite day by the pool with a barrage of kids etc dive bombing , the beach for us was a far better option .
In summary if you are travelling as a family group with kids the Melasti Beach resort is very suited to this type of travel . I definetly do not recommend honeymoon couples etc this Hotel , for the Price the suite rooms are great value for money however the rest is all very tired and uneventful . Every morning whilst having breakfast I peered across at the beautiful manicured lawns and facilities of the adjacent resort with envy "The Puri Raja " will be our choice on the next Bali sojorn !!!!" |
